http://www.uesp.net/...fall:Attributes
Do not know if that url above will check out but I am on my phone. If not check out the UESP and read up on it.

Edit: the link works

The attributes should be allocated like Daggerfalls system. If your attributes are weakened you should suffer greatly because of it and if they are reduced to zero that means you die. Anyways you should not get a plus five bonus you should get points you allocate and put them in attributes you wish.

Then another idea is you can have general perks that tie into your attributes and allow for greater control of your character. You can take willpower and intelligence effect your magic pool and magic regeneration, for farther control have spell creation tied into it as well. So you can choose to pick perks that allow for greater magnitude, duration, and area. Also you could choose perks that allow for more effects to be intertwined into one spell.

Let speed have some general perks tied to the attribute that increase how fast you can sprint and how often you can sprint.

Have agility determine how high you jump.

Let strength give you the strength to use bigger weapons and carry more weight.

This is just a small portion of what could be done with a more intuitive attribute system that gives us even more control and customization over our characters.

I suppose people brought up interesting points when my thread hit the thread count and I was like, Nooo arg why do you want to make me respond. And I quoted this, and I had the name written somewhere of the member, but I forgot. But I give credit to you.

Attribrutes and stats don't have to be useless.

Some of the skills and attribrute in Oblivion that were called useless was Luck. If Luck was just changed to something a little more updated. Like let's say Luck was more about, how often you died?

Such as like you have a minor chance of avoiding death or something along those lines? Or even you have less chance of getting caught when in a high security area?

Etc.

This thread is about hwo Skyrim could approve its attributes and stats.

I think its time for you to give this thread a break. People have pretty much given their views on the subject now.

I am he, Otheral.
And thank you friend.

Attributes can stand on their own two feet also have luck effect your chance to successfully pick locks and it could determine the effectiveness of say invisibility in illusion small instances like that.

Attributes did not need to removed they needed a redesign and that would have given us even more control over how we shape and play our characters. That in itself expands upon roleplaying options.

We were having a good conversation and people were bring up points and I couldn't not address them. And the titles are now more for fun, lol.

Part 3 already? Wow, that was fast.

I do miss the attributes from Oblivion, however, I do not miss leveling them up. All the +5's, +3's, +2's, etc were just annoying. It made it so I would either go out of my way to grind certain minor skills right before leveling up or I would classify all of the skills I use as minor skills to avoid leveling up unintentionally.

If attributes made a comeback in TES, I would strongly prefer being given a fixed amount of points to allocate to them every level-up over the tedious BS from Oblivion.

As a side-note, I feel that many perks in Skyrim are unneeded. Increased damage, better sneaking, easier lock-picking... those types of perks are all redundant because the skill levels do, or should do, those things by themselves. It seems like the only real reason to raise skills in Skyrim is so you to take more perks, which generally help you out more than the level of the skill does. I really wish it wasn't that way with the skills; I wish the skill levels had more influence than they currently do and that the perks would serve purposes that mere character skill levels could not.

The part that later on he said it the title was for fun is the only reason I didn't report it.

Oh, and "Luck" is a terrible stat. Never have, and never will, like it.
