It's gonna be short, and nothing usual, if any even recognizes my posts around here..
I had stopped playing Skyrim, simply because of the increasing instability of the game.. When Dawnguard came out, I was pumped for it, and then all my enthusiasm came to an end when I read the bugs that Dawnguard brought with it.
Moreso when Beth decided to keep the .psc files to themselves so that modders couldn't edit them or whatever. Can't make new genuine perk trees, etc. Be honest, there is a level of control you want to have over the modding community...let them access and have fun with your ideas you implemented..
And well treatment of the PS3(especially), and 360 in general as well. Maybe I am assuming. If it's because of your relationship with Microsoft - fine, that's out of your control. Sony..I donno about them anymore..
No flaming remarks or demeaning comments from me or whatever you're used to seeing around these boards. Just, you know, Bethesda, please give us a break for once.. TES is a great series.. You have great potential to be the top RPG developer in the market.
I do feel your pain, yet I have to give some points to Beth here. From my experience, TES series kinda spoiled us in a way, we had loads of freedom be it ingame or freedom of mods, creating own quests, skins, NPCs, weapons, everything. World and non linear quests and exploring ingame is one big plus, so many quests.. Mods allow us to do basicly anything is another + to Beth. Yes, I know this isn't a only game or gaming developer who allows us such things, but TES is always the first game on my mind when it comes to mods and freedom of choices ingame, so maybe we've become too greedy for more.
On the other hand, I do agree with bugs you mentioned. Such bugs will always follow games like Skyrim if they are released too soon. But TES V is the reason why I am looking forward to TES VI, because Bethesda made some mistakes and they should do their homework right this time, even if it means we'll have to wait for TES VI untill 2018+.
