I have a DLC suggestion to make.

Post » Fri Sep 21, 2012 11:45 am

Hello everyone!
I have a very nice suggestion to make, and I wonder where I should write it. Should I mail Bethesda or something?
I asked my friends (who know well about the Elder Scrolls games) and they told me that it's nice.
Can you tell me where I can tell the suggestion please?
Thanks.

You could post it here on the forum :)

Technically, you can also email Bethesda (http://gamesas.com/en-us/contact#), but it will be beneficial to receive feedback from the community, no?

I have a suggestion for the future DLC in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The title would be "The Mythic Dawn Returns".
I did this suggestion like a "walkthrough". So here it is:
"Ask a guard for rumors, and he will tell you that there is a cave filled with Daedra near the altar of Mehrunes Dagon.
Then you will have to talk to a Xivilai, who is the guardian of the cave. It will ask if you are strong enough and test your worth defying you in combat. After fighting the xivilai, it will give you permission to enter. The dremoras guarding the altar of Mehrunes not be hostile, knowing that they are aware that your presence is accepted. Then you need to talk to Mehrunes Dagon's altar and he will tell you to go to Silus Vesuius' Dawnstar museum and retrieve his dagger, if you did not already do it. If you saved Silus Vesuius, He will ask you one last time to kill him, saying that he is a pretender and he was the great grand son of traitors who were Blade spies.
1. If you decide to save him for a second time, or if you receive the dagger and you refuse to serve and become the Master of the Mythic Dawn, he'll tell you he will find someone more powerful than you and Daedras in the cave will attack you.
A bunch of Mythic dawn assassins will try to kill you when you enter Whiterun. Therefore, you will have to speak to Silus Vesuius (Madena or if you still killed Silus but rejected the proposal of Dagon), who will tell you that there are indeed new recruits, and in fact, they are Silus' friends. They will tell you that they have to redo the Oblivion crisis, but in another way. They plan to open the Oblivion gates, but they will open them where most dragons go to. They will tell you to go and tell the Greybeards about this.
You will need to talk to the Greybeards and they will tell you about legendary dragons and sages who live in the hills of the west, the Crevasse. These dragons are able to speak the official Tamrielic mortals' language and they can prevent the hazards that run.
They will tell you that you will have to create a group called the Order of Akatosh. This group defends the dragons, making a truce between mortals and dragons. Mortals and dragons will combine together to destroy the Daedra threat, and all of those who ally themselves with them. Two Nordic brothers will be aware of this Order, and they will ask you if they can join you. Then, they will tell you they have information (they are good blacksmiths, they will craft you a special armor after you recruit them): We have to find find the Amulet of the Kings. You will have to go to the Thieves Guild's base, the Ragged Flagoon. Delvin will tell you about a friend of his who is a Khajiit. He's a stealth and lockpicking master. Delvin will tell you that you will have to go to Bruma, the Cyrodiilic city which is the closest to Skyrim. You will then talk to the Khajiit and ask him to pick the palace of the Imperial City to find the Amulet.
2. If you decide to serve Mehrunes Dagon and take the Dagger, He will ask you to take the rest of the Mysterium Xarxes to make him reconstitute it. In exchange, he will ask you if you would prefer a robe or light/heavy armor. He will tell you he has owes Akatosh something and that He wants to destroy the dragons. He will give you thus Robe / Armor of the Master, and then Adepts will join you. These Adepts will tell you that they will take care of recruitments throughout Skyrim discreetly and that in exchange, you will have to do the same. You will need to go to Bruma and recruit apprentices. Other adepts also take care of recruitment in other countries like Morrowind and Cyrodiil. Using the Xarxes, you will enter a plane of Oblivion and you will have to place a Sigil stone in the big castle of the plane. You will make a sneak attack by opening a gate outside of a big and ancient Draugr ruin, whose exterior is filled with dragons. This plan will be completed successfully, but beware, there is a traitor in the Mythic Dawn. This traitor tells the plans to the Chief of the Order of Akatosh. Dagon will tell you that there is a traitor in this cave and that his end is near: You will have to tell the adepts about it. During this time, you will continue to open the Oblivion Gates.

I didn't really think about the rest of the scenario but I hope you enjoyed it.

It's the kernel of a potentially VERY strong DLC. Could easily be 40 hours worth of gaming, more if crafted right.

Sure, Oblivion covered a lot of this territory. But there's nothing wrong with revisiting it - provided the story is good. Also, it gives the player a chance to return to a small piece of Cyrodiil.

Indymachine, I wish you luck in your quest to get this turned into a DLC. :-)

The Mythic Dawn would fit with the Thalmor.

You know that would make some strange conspiracy.. That would be a good story.. I didn't bother really reading the story..

Like the entire war was for Dagon or something.. And saying they were superior made nobody even look past them and realized there true goal.. And even the blades themselves didn't realize..

bah ive had enough of that fetcher mehrunes so imma have to say no. not because your idea is bad its well thought out but we kinda just had a game about the big red jerk trying to take over tamriel mehrunes dagon is a daedric prince not bowzer from super mario he usually likes to take his sweet time coming up with new calamities rather then trying the same thing again only after 200 years.

Many here on the forums seem to have awful lot of ideas for DLCs. I have a suggestion for all of those: MOD IT OUT! If you have a brilliant idea for DLC why don't you just put some time and work in it and make it available as a mod? Telling ideas on forums or emailing them to Bethesda doesn't make them to happen but modding does. I personally doesn't care about spreading my ideas around until I have a ready esp-file available for downloading. I suggest you to do same. Modding is fun - sometimes even more fun than playing the game.
