Spears... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zxIHPfi-yI

I want spears too, but I'm not big on those animations.

Anyway, weapons I would like to see included:
Spears, Halberds, Naginatas etc
Bo-staff
Kunai
Caltrops (would especially be useful if enemies start using mounted combat, but also just good for escape)
Blow Darts (import from Black Marsh)
Whips
Flogger
Flails
Short-swords
Clubs
Rapiers
Wire/Rope (Rope could be useful for restraining people, allowing non-lethal missions)
Slings
Smoke Bombs (One for making escapes, but perhaps another could be combined with alchemy to create poison gases?)
Throwing Knives
Throwing Axes
Throwing Stars
Javelins
Rocks
Battle Gauntlets
Arm Blades

There's probably some more things I'm forgetting, but I think this little armory will be good for now.

It looks okay to me... it keeps your enemies at distance

On top: Morningstar with chain.

The main two I dislike are the one-handed thrust that doesn't seem to be ideal at all, and what I assume is the power attack where you skip around and slap them upside the head with the spear rather than stabbing them. The standard attacks look fine though.

I meant double edged light-saber type gameplay. Come on, you know what I meant.

You would then mean Double-Ended, or Double-Bladed.
Dual Edged would mean both sides of the one edge are sharp. The Iron sword for instance, compared to the Orcish sword.
Minor nitpick, but fairly substantial in conveyance.

Thrown weapons of various kinds (knives, javelins and axes would be my preferred), shortswords and katana's/tanto's/wakizashi's. I miss the variation.

"Unarmed" weapons to augment hand to hand damage (and give Unarmed guys the ability to add spell effects to their attacks).

* Spears, halberds, and glaives. Tridents for underwater fighting.
* Spiked flails. They start slow (mace speed), but get faster with each swing. Spiked clubs or maces.
* Throwing knives for assassins. More expensive ones could have poison resirvoirs, causing increased poison damage.
