Hmm, ok, would be nice to have some official word on this, because I remember they said how the PC version had advanced customizations including FOV adjustment. Unfortunately I can't bear such a low FOV (which on 16:9 turns out even lower). If that's the case then I might think about cancelling my pre-order... :confused:

You can't say that without actually seeing the game in action yourself but it's your choice.

You would pass of what could potentially be the best game of the year...because you can't see a couple further inches to the side. No offence, but that seems very picky.

It isn't picky. Some players can't play with FOV because it hurts their eyes or results in migraines.

I noticed you talking about Adrenaline (didn't we get a confirmation that it's called Bloodthirsty)

Just rewatched the livestream and it is called Adrenaline. Saw it as a possibility to to upgrade it's effectiveness with a Bone Charm. It seems they can be found if you listen for the "song they emit" which is pretty nice. it still doesn't show how the randomization works but from what I see it's probably gonna be you starting off with randomized effects and when you get a Bone Charm you get to choose which one to unlock. Better than my first speculation. It also seems that some effects have levels or something of the sorts, because two of them had "1" next to their name. Don't know how that would work but I guess we need to wait and find out.

With that said however I still advise him to check the game out first. 85 FOV doesn't mean the same thing to all games.

90° is the way to go for me, but 85° is a way to minimize screen tear, so I could understand the decision, eventhough I prefer how 90° feels when turning around fast. Thing is, that 90°/85° is what works with the 4:3 aspect ratio, but most people these days, including myself, use a widescreen monitor and the 16:9 aspect ratio equivalents to 90°/85° would be 105°/100°. The question is: do you select the FOV 85° and choose the 16:9 aspect ratio and based on the aspect ratio the FOV accommodates (so 85° actually becomes 100° with 16:9)?

Would be nice to have some clarification on this.

True, 85 - 90 FOV worked pretty well it Fallout 3.

Yup, exactly. I personally game on a 16:9 widescreen as well and 90 doesn't give me any problems. It probably accommodates like you mentioned because I've noticed a rise in that in PC games recently, which is great. But I still say wait for the game and see the PC version because even if it has a lower FOV it can still affect you differently, depending on the action on screen, various effects and so on. I doubt it will be a problem but once again the universal law of common sense should always have a say in the matter.
