I'm wondering how difficult it would be to implement a call to force a NPC/PC to sheath a weapon before swapping to the next one? Ever since I personally found out about the bDisabledGearedUp=0 Skyrim.ini Edit that basically has a game engine side version of ATTT, I was curious of how this could be accomplished as It would serve two purposes for me;
1. solve the invisible weaon glitch caused by that ini tweak, and
2. Add the atmosphere that swapping weapons would be more realistic than poof one disappears and another is in your hand.
