I have a question for you fine folks.

Since spears in Morrowind were only two-handed and the one in the gamejam was also two-handed. Do you guys think I should make a character that focuses on two-handed for this DLC? Or do you think I should wait until more information?

Almost assuredly two-handed, not thrown. But, I'd wait for the announcement and DLC before creating any characters specifically to play it.

Correct answer is correct.
Dunno about you console users, but horses are solid proof Skyrim is a console port. Controls are so clunky....

I think it's just that developers have a hard time doing horses... period, and has little to do with platform. Horse controls are clunky on console too. Red Dead had the best horses though I have seen in a game, and they worked very very good.

You're only just finishing Dishonored? I finished it (twice) like 4 or 5 days after release (that following weekend). Can't get through a third play through. Makes me kind of wish I'd gotten this one for XBox, at least I could get some money back. The again, the trade is probably awful, like Brink was.

I really hope this is all true. I have been posting on here forever demanding they incorporate a Raven Rock-esque questline into Oblivion or Skyrim. Hopefully they finally let you do something like that on Solstheim again. I can't wait to finally visit Raven Rock again (even though in Oblivion they say it "went under"...). I loved Bloodmoon more than I liked Morrowind itself so I pray this will all come to life.

I somewhat wish this was never found out yet though because I would have had such a heart attack once I saw the official announcement of this without prior knowledge.

I just can't wait to get back to Raven Rock

No. the strings of code refer to the PS3 start menu (startmenu.swf), so i'm 99% sure they enable the "Downloadable Content" option on PS3's menu. thus, PS3 DLC is possibly coming
thank you for including the PS3 info.
i'm sure it was already there in the last few threads

"Dragon riding will take place in its own world space"
This confuses me a bit, that would mean that we can't attack the creatures on the ground,hell...we might not even be able to see them.

Also,if that is the case, how would the transition work?
When i really think about it,it feels like it would be just some sort of fast travel, where maybe you can actually watch it,instead of getting a loading screen, but with no actual control of the dragon.

Call dragon, get on dragon, cut scene to sky. You're not going to be able to see below anyway, there'll be, oh, a dragon-sized object in the way. You'll get a distance view ahead (think Meridia's beacon, but lower in the sky). When you want to land, there will have to be a place TO land, probably a field or mountain top nearby. The cool thing about this, I think, is that there will probably be "dog fight" combat within the sky cell(s).

I wonder whether this DLC will be post-MQ or simply implemented into the game proper (possibly with a level requirement ala Dawnguard). Does anyone have thoughts to this?

What if it it's like a Zelda: Skyward Sword sort of transition. If you haven't played it, look it up, it sort of connects; if it were to have a "sky" worldspace. And if we come to the ground, does it just automatically go straight to the ground?

I hope they don't make you do the MQ before you can play, that's lame. I don't think they will anyway, as Dawnguard didn't require such thing (in fact I recall a Bethesda employee suggesting you start a new character, though that was to prevent bugs).

Will have to be post Ohdaving (or possibly a Soul Cairn jaunt) based on what we have. If, though, there's a third unknown option so far, I'd prefer this... Dovahkin replaces Alduin (there's your MQ requirement) acknowledged after a quest/meeting of dragons in Solstheim.

Has there been any "OFFICIAL" comment and/or remark from Bethesda at all on this? I just see a lot of stuff from non-beth employees posting so I would just like to know.

I have the earlier Elder Scroll games (xbox) but never played them because I thought they were boring as heck, but Skyrim IMO is the best game ever. I know NOTHING about the earlier games and what they had, didnt have, locations, etc. so I dont participate in any of the ongoing discussions about that (which seems to 99.999% of what people are talking about). I just hope that 1.8 continues to add to the fun, doesnt include werewolfs, werebears, or were-anything, adds new exciting quests, lets us marry anyone we want and also lets us permanently change their default clothes.

They specifically said that they don't comment on rumors or speculation.

Weapon/armor set hotkeys would DEFINITELY be welcomed here. Heck, even a cursor key or bracket scroll would be awesome. The current favorite hotkeying of spells doesn't work well for lef/right independent wielders at all.

Oblivion is pretty much like Skyrim, as in you feel at home. Not as nice graphic but decent, majority of dungeons are more copy paste but recommended. If you like playing as an pure mage it's an must.

Make sure you don't get too wrapped up wandering if that's not your thing, the place is huge. I'd specifically go for the guilds, the Dark Brotherhood in particular. Just kill someone and sleep.

Staff-making and spell-making do, indeed, favor mage play. But, I find Skyrim has a nice variety of spells and staves, you just don't get that DIY power satisfaction. If I had to pick one of the two for my mage, though, it would be staff-making, hands down. And I'd improve it to more literature friendly multi-spell staff making, allowing scroll spell changes on the staff, with a default (and non-MP using) candlelight spell on/off switch.
