For the record, Oblivion was the most realistic RPG when it came out. Absolutely breathtaking. It still looks pretty good even now without any mods.

I'm surprised no one emphasized the difference in magic. (Magic is a separate category than combat for me.)

Morrowind gets first in magic. Levitation, waterwalk, blind, full-enchanting customization freedom... Between Morrowind and Skyrim, we got locked into certain enchants on certain items and lost several spells including most of the school of mysticism. Skyrim is a great game and most of those spells I don't miss much but sometimes I wonder, what if I could levitate over that hill? Or run across these ice floes? I can't defend myself underwater in Skyrim either.

Oblivion and I do not know. I don't expect myself to enjoy TES:O more than Oblivion though. It's really TES:VI that is next contender for my favorite TES title, though who knows, only time will tell.

Daggerfall for me, followed by Skyrim. I would love to see Daggerfall/Morrowind detail with Skyrim graphics and third person combat.
I also loved Skyrims spell equip, I wish TESO would have spells equipped like Skyrim.

Morrowind. I find it hard to put TESO in the same category though, as its not part of the main series and an entirely different genre. That's like asking whether I enjoyed the books or the games more.

I think it's safe to say though, once TESO's out, I probably won't play Morrowind again.

RAWR. How can anyone just compare quality and number of guild quests in Morrowind to Skyrim? INDIFEL!

Skyrim fails so hard in this aspect compared to Morrowind and even to Oblivion imo.

Bit of a tough one. I think Daggerfall had the biggest impact on me when it came out but I'd have to say I like Skyrim the best due to the ease of modding through the Steam Workshop and the overall gameplay and visuals.

That alone was the main reason why I didn't like Oblivion. Besides the ugly faces.

Quest-wide, Skyrim and Oblivion looks like Morrowind′s very poor brothers.

Morrowind is the best.

Skyrim is also a great game with wonderful graphics and many interesting features, but it lacks MW depth and atmosphere. When I'm playing Skyrim I'm aware that I'm playing a computer game, but when I play Morrowind - I feel like I live in it.

Has to be Morrowind for me.

Nothing more than complete truth. Into Morrowind, i was able to completely drown. I cant do the same with Skyrim.

Skyrim, which narrowly beats Oblivion. That said, I've only played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim.

I must say, Oblivion is nice but it didn't catch me at all.
I'm trying to play Morrowind GOTY with the overhaul thing, but I fear it won't catch me too much. Sorry, I'm biased towards the graphics, and even considering that Morrowind is 10 years old, its graphical and animation compartment repels me.
Skyrim for me is THE GAME. The best I've ever played, even taking in consideration other not-Elder Scrolls series games. When I started Skyrim I was doubtful, I considered that a Fallout 3 with vikings, toned down to meet the strict consolle's limits. After the first hour of gameplay I was totally blasted away by its wonderful environment, its music, the dragons, the armors, the people of the various towns and cities, the funny comments of the guards patrolling around and their references to past games and many other minor particulars.
My "weak point" is the Nordic environment and the Viking legends. It caught me totally. Some quests are repetitive, but there are so many surprises during the exploration that I consider the repetitiveness just a little problem if compared to the greatness of the whole game. After 580 hours of play through I'm not tired of this game yet.
Some mods should have been implemented right inside the game, pity it didn't happen (i.e.: convenient horses, followers can relax, and some other purely aesthetic mods, regarding armors).
