At least 30 locations. I'm also hoping there is the ability to join the Great Houses and build yourself a house there again

If you look at this 4th era Tamriel map, you can see it will be around about the same as a hold.

Though, this is of course not official in any way, so - we can but guess!

I had a (quick) look and couldn't find an answer. Going by maps of Tamriel though, it looks to be 1/6 of Vvardenfell.

I personally wouldn't go by the maps due to scaling.

Neither would I, but that's the best I can find unfortunately.

I don't remember how long it took me to get from one side to the other in Bloodmoon, probably 5 minutes maybe? Would have been faster if I used the boots of blinding speed or similar of course.

I'm hoping for larger than Whiterun hold, but that would probably be a good guess.

Just did it. Took me about 2 and a half minutes with 300 speed.

If my math's right, that is about 5 times faster than the average of the base movement speed. I don't know how the movement speed in Skyrim stacks up value wise, but I'd imagine it'd take close to 5 minutes to cover the same distance.
