What are you doing....

I started a fresh character a couple hours ago. Roleplaying pretty hardcoe while I wait. Gonna collect/store a bunch of junk, either materials or things I'd like to display in one of my new homes. I have a wealthy high-level character that I'll probably use first to get my bearings, get a preview of the capability of the DLC so my greedy little Imperial hero will know what's what. God, a midnight drop would rock, though I'm not counting on it.

Havent been on since DG, had 288k coins, a sell chest in Whiterun that takes AGES to open/withdraw items because its got 157 hours worth of crap in it, nearly 150k gold worth of gems(i like to hoard them and put them in buckets/bowls). Checked out my alchemy drawer to find 102 giants toes :D I'll turn them into fortify healths soon. This DLC better take me to the cleaners :P

I've been chopping logs, I've got about 200 chopped now. I also am buying up lots of iron ingots. I've got about 150k in gold and I expect to be broke by the time my 3 houses are built.

Not sure collecting firewood is the best idea. Seems to me that this DLC is a great opportunity for them to finally make use of the lumber mills. That relatively detailed animation has existed with no purpose; until now, I suspect. Now it could serve to create lumber for building our new homes.

To be fair, anything I don't use for my house can be used for arrows and bolts. But yeah, I am waiting till I see the required materials before investing any major gold or time.

So Xbox players, Hearthfire releases tomorrow. What are you doing to prepare in-game for this DLC? I personally am getting all of the gold you could ever get and Iron out to HEEZOW. Are you doing the same? Different? Share!

I will probably get my First house with my Money, And half of my 2nd house with Money and then i will have to work for the Other half and a whole nother house.

$20 is the cheapest card I've been able to track down in my area. It seems vaguely ridiculous, given that it's a $5 DLC.

To be clear, I'm ranting about the lack of selection, not the cheapness of the DLC :X

I'm just looking forward to being able to use it to store things without having to check my back for vampires wiping out towns.

So hoarding money and supplies. (Little bit of everything reasonable, gold, iron, steel, various other ingot, woodcutting axe...)

Not a damn thing. Until a couple of hours ago I was playing Lego Batman 2! I didn't want to 'prepare' a character for the the DLC as it will spoil a lot of my fun if I did. I want to be doing all this by hand, from scratch, gathering all the materials by hand, the whole lot. I've been dying for some gameplay like this since Skyrims release, and now I have some, I'm not going to spoil it for myself by pre-loading with materials and cash.

What am I doing? I'm now going to bed, and then I will proceed to download Hearthfire when I wake up.

Seconded.

I am farming legendary dragons now, selling their daedric drops for big gold. I'm hoping to reach 200k within the next hour or so. I'd like to be able to buy all my building mats, instead of having to farm them all manually.

My Legionnaire is plowing through the Civil War, stockpiling gold. Up to around 15k now, not bad going if I do say so myself. :P
