Sun damage is Restoration? Really?

As said above nowhere does it say that restoration is only a defensive school. Indeed, past TES games have already featured damage to undead from restroration spells. Sunlight spells are logical in the restoration school. Just because it is an offensive spell does no mean it should be in destruction. Go read up on the games magic lore and you will see that Sunlight attacks should be in restoration and nothing else.

Restoration in Daggerfall and Morrowind doesn't contain any offensive spells, and it only has the absorb spells (health, fatigue, skills) in Oblivion. Also, turn undead used to be in conjuration.

I always thought it was because of Arkay, that it was 'his' magic. When Molag Bal mocked Arkay's cycle of life and Death so he created Vampires. So Arkay school of magicka is a way of really hitting the vamps hard. I'm probably wrong though.

Sunlight should just be in Alteration. Destruction should just be in alteration!. Malviser was simply misguided at best, and a foolhardy idiot at worst. Doesn't surprise me, what do you expect from a mage who specializes in destruction? Nothing but a simple and brutish point of view!

Not only does sunlight belong in Restoration, but drain life (vampiric spell/power) should be as well.
