Everyone should be vampires

Are you sure Restoration perks affect magicka regen like that? Last I checked, they still just add a percentage to regen, which is a percentage of zero if you're a vampire in the sun.

And yes, it's a lore thing. Volkihar vampires have always been described as weakened by the sun, but not hurt by it.

Yep, they do. I can confirm this works as my vamp character has stat regen (albeit slower than usual). :hehe:

No, vampirism isn't a gift to be squandered by everyone.

No way, No way in Oblivion will I let my noble elven blood tainted. As an altmer I'll live long enough to reach 1000.

Seriously, I still want the sunlight damage, cyrodiilic vampire strain has been altered so they can blend more in society, yet they still take sun damage to the point of burning. Why shouldn't Skyrim vampire? If even an altered strain that can blend more easily in society take sun damage shouldn't the other strains take sun damage too?

That's a lore feature, not a bug.

No they didn't. That would have been a stupid feature.
I never said i wanted to be a VL and a Werewolf at the same time. The way i meant that sentence, bethesda screwed up on the vampires.

Your magicka and stamina (and health) don't regenerate in the daytime (that's why I choose to be a werewolf).

That can be easily mitigated with the reward you get from the Arch Curate.

Also, the choice to become a vampire has never been solely about power. It's a moral decision your character makes, or a curse thrust upon them, depending on how you play.

If you're just going to powergame, then you've already made a mistake by purchasing an Elder Scrolls title.

Perhaps because the Volkihar strain is more "pure" than the other strains, Harkon got his Vampirism from Molag Bal himself, who is responsible for the creation of Vampires. Harkon detests other Vampires calling them weaker, so perhaps the Cyrodiilic, and Morrowind Vampires, are from a more diluted strain, with more weaknesses.

I don't think Lore Wise it would be too out there, in The Elder Scrolls III you could have one of three specific strains (which determinted which Vampire Faction you could join), with different bonuses.

Ha! I'd rather die than join the forces I am sworn to destroy. And I'll never become a werewolf again! That was only for the sake of saving the Companions.

And blot out the sun? Never. Instead, I ask for the aid of Akatosh and rain down his divine wrath with my Sunhallowed Elven Arrows.

I guess I should have used lapse in judgment then instead of "bug".
