I don't appreciate the new Lycanthropy Tree!

but whats the deal with werewolves? did I miss something when finishing dawnguard against the vampires and no mention of them is made?

and will try and transform into werewolf again and look at the skill trees then.

The werewolves are a side thing, you get some random wilderness ones now, and a perk tree. That's it. Also Harkon knows if you are one.

They obviously never thought of WW perk tree's until a fan mentioned the Idea, and they brought it out with DG cause the VL was coming with a tree....

The tree, as well as the vampire lord. They also showed off werebears and spears in it, as well as a number of other things.

For your viewing pleasure.
Actually I believe there was a lycan tree in the gamejam video look it up on youtube
however it was a tree designed for werebear but i think it was the base idea and if so then it was a idea created shortly after the release of the base game itself
also vampire lord was shown there and not sure but possibly a vamp tree too

The game jam took place before the game went "gold". Controversy shall continue over the issue of the game even being "gold" in the first place.

Personally I would have the opposite complaint from OP.

OP claims he hates knowing he needs Dawnguard for a full-fledged werewolf, I on the other hand, think the perk tree looks very weak. It's another case of "20% cooler," where the perk tree seemingly fails to deliver on NEW skills and features for werewolves, but rather takes the existing ones and makes the slightly more powerful once you get the perks. Would've been nice to see motivation to get Dawnguard to improve a werewolf, but I really don't see it, personally.
Have you actually used it?

Slightly more powerful is a huge understatement. You deal twice the damage when perked, can feed on pretty much everything and can call apon stronger beasts to aid you in battle. It's a huge increase, to the point of it being overpowered IMO. The spectral werewolves you can summon are too strong, and you end up hitting for 400+ damage at higher levels when power attacking.

Remember that the werewolf and vampire lord perk trees were first shown on the GameJam video. That means that Bethesda didn't consider putting it (or, more likely, ran out of time) in the vanilla game. At least 1 month after Skyrim's release, on the GameJam 'session', this idea materialized, was discussed and put into DLC. I'm happy with that.

Because, you know, we DID get lots of stuff that was in the gamejam video for free, thanks to the patches:
1) Mounted combat
2) Ranged killcams
3) Improved underwater graphics (depth of field)
4) Shadow casting on grass (admittedly it's pretty minor, but does make the game world more believable)

... Dammit. I want those spears. I also realized how similar the flaming horse mount looks like Arvak.

You should at least appreciate it. I mean, they could've scrapped it completely. At least they did it.

They need to add the ability to become a chimera, evil eye, harpy, snow harpy, and ogre. And some kind of multiplayer where we can invade other peoples game world, maybe even have factions that revolve around this mechanic. Having a portable house would be awesome too....maybe an airship? Special weapon skill abilities would be cool too, like maybe rampage for axes, savage blade for swords, raging rush for greataxe, etc. then have companions use the weapon skills too bringing the abilty to create skill chains, maybe powrful elemental ones like light. You should also be able to have children with your spouse that can grow up and help with chores around the farm, which we also need a farm to aise our own horses, cows, chickens etc. and grow useful crops. Maybe nearby towns could hold annual festivals with livestock competitions and horse races.

That's because the flaming horse IS Arvak, just with a slightly different character skin

Huh. I think they did a good thing changing the fire to blue/purple. It looks far more badass that way IMO.
