Enabling things

Hello there,
Two random questions that I cannot seem to answer myself.

Is the dwemer animated machinery, pistons etc... disable-able so that they only move when a lever is activated for example? If so how.

I'm after a forceful explosion when a lever is activated. Which fx should I be using and will they actually hurt/interact with actors? A combination or lighting, flamefx and a damage or aoe sphere may be combined to achieve the same effect if that is the only workaround available.

Cast will let your lever cast a spell ... http://www.creationkit.com/Cast_-_Spell

(some people report it does not always work if/when the object has no casting animation ... I got it working fine though)

So you can then use any spell you like (with it's intended FX) ... assuming you do want the "explosion" to effect actors?

Dwemer Machinery ... Not sure. One of the crew on here who has dealt with animation events (and blocking them) needs to help you out (if they can) ... I think ...

Thanks for your help, it's at least a step in the right direction.
