Spellmaking.
Yes, magic is probably the weakest part of Skyrim. Yes some good new features as in necromancy.
New spell effects who are wasted as they are not usable at high level.

Rest of the problems are just annoying, npc dialogues are worse than Oblivion, guild quest-lines are to short.

Go back and replay Daggerfall and Morrowind and realize what worked and start from there instead of turning TES into Fallout and removing every reason for wanting to replay the game.

On a more positive note I think they should carry over the currently changed way of how character creation goes, not being limited in any way and being able to make any character archetype just as easily with any race was a great step forward I think since there's a greater sense of freedom.

If they reverted from this I'd be quite sad.
Yes, leveling in Skyrim worked very well, miss attributes an bit, perhaps make them racial bonuses+ possible to boost with perks as you could in Fallout 3.
However to select magic health or stamina was perfect so I don't end up with 500 health at level 50.

I do miss hand-to-hand combat though. I wish my Nord could end up being strong enough to snap someone's neck, or if my Khajiit could level up his claws - they are really useful early on, but become useless before level 15.

1 - Guilds need to be more relevant and have longer quests lines.
2 - Key NPCs need to respond properly to the player progression. If I became the Archmage, it would be sweet that at least the jarls and mages know that.
3 - Less hand holding. Less pointers, more description.
4 - Same quests to rival factions need to stop. The same fort conquests two or three times are ok, but not all the quests for god sake.
5- Spellmaking and more customization would be appreciated.

That said, Im pretty satisfied with Skyrim and I think that Bethesda is close to make the best sand box RPG of all time.
This
and 6- Heavy and light armor in all armor types. Also being able to upgrade any and all armor and weapons in the game.............
