Dawnguard Memorial - Vendors Killed By Your DLC

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:25 pm

180 hours on this Dawnguard character - master difficulty - no HUD or crosshair on the 360, and the only named NPC death is the guy from the Whiterun stables. I've had countless attacks on cities especially Riften, but a combination of my Wood Elf, Faendal and the guards/NPCs have taken them down easily.

Outside of towns I've seen a Bandit Chief and a Vigilant of Stendaar both get beheaded by a Volkihar Vampire and a Nightlord Vampire (who was sent to assassinate my Wood Elf) respectively.

I've been relatively lucky so far, only a few guards sacrificed themselves to protect the people of Whiterun. I don't mind the attacks, but I wish that the quest givers/merchants were considered essential in those instances, or at the very least that long lost relatives would show up to take over the store...

Eh I haven't lost any vendors since I got dawnguard. I normally kill vendors myself sometimes when I am bored.

R.I.P. Nobody

The only dead folks are Nazeem and Heimskr, and I did them in myself for being too arrogant and too loud, respectively.

RIP Markarth blacksmith orc lady, I just hope you don't show off your well branded weapons too much in your next life, especially against a Master Vampire.

By the way, I took some of your irons left at the smith, since you no longer need them.

they should learn to run away it's not hard, only a fool would try to take on vampires when only armed with a small dagger, while not wearing armour or using powerful magic.

Man... after reading this, I'm kinda pleased that I can't get Dawnguard for PS3 now. ^_^

Last night I got ticked off when I walked to Largeshberg (don't remember it's name... the Orc Village near Riften) cus it was nearby, and saw the giant that normally attacks it respawned. after saving, I noticed the place was a bit empty... then I noticed by the Giant were two corpses. One was a vendor... I forget who the other was. Now, there's only one Orc female left alive in there... just a flavor NPC.

I couldn't imagine if all my key-vendors in Whiterun/Markarth/Riverwood got offed. >_<

itl happen to you eventually after all cant always be prepared all it takes is for you to go about business as usual and find a few dead vendors and some vampires killing guards and reload after reload failed solution after failed solution you realize there is no way you can save said vendor or vendors itl happen trust me.

Edda: the hapless and unarmed beggar at Riften.
Seren: the blacksmith at Dawnstar.
The couple at Warmaiden in Whiterun.
And my poor dog Meeko who tried to save Seren and got caught in the fray.

Here we remember the brothers and sisters of Skyrim who were killed by random vampire attacks from this DLC.

RIP Skulvar Sable-Hilt

Skyrim lost a true son and a player lost the ability to purchase horses in Whiterun.

(Curiously they killed the horse too but he got better).

Remember those you lost here in this thread.

Azrael
The Nord with the Sword

Skulvar and an unknown female there at the stable are the only ones I have lost so far. I was hoping the female was that old hag Lillith, but it wasn't. I have so far been unable to find out who it was. But, somehow yes, the horse got better, twice! There are 2 horses there now! I have not seen hide nor hair of Skulvar's son, I only found 1 ash pile and it had the unknown female clothes. I saw it happen, just couldn't get there in time, even after re-loading numerous times, it played out the same. I was just down the road....

RIP Skulvar.

Edit:I now believe the unknown female was the elderly Battleborn matron.

Belethor- Whiterun

11/11/11 - 8/24/12

He's the only character I lost to a vampire attack. He will not be missed.

My last game, on my old computer, before I had Dawnguard, that jerk Belethor just disappeared after my first departure from Whiterun. I left to go wipe out the Redguard assassins looking for Saadia; got back and his shop was locked up. Waited for days; broke in, empty. Got arrested. Got out. Went back..gone. Never came back. I would love to see a Vampire carry him off; I had to wait for the stupid Khajit caravan to roll through whenever I wanted to get rid of my random junk.
