Yes.
Just finished my first few navmeshes earlier today, after dreading the process a little due to a general impression of "uh oh, navmeshing!" around the community.
Found it super-simple and quite soothing, at least for the small interior cells I was working on. I've a fairly strong grasp of topology and high-poly modeling in 3ds Max, though, so laying out triangles with verts was like falling off a log for me. Were I a beginner modder or lacking any 3D experience, it might be a very different story.
[That said, as a random aside: I'm not sure what to do about my exterior dungeon entrance, which is in a location with no vanilla navmesh - ie, a hard-to-reach NPCs-are-too-dumb-to-get-there place. Short of some kind of clunky companion teleporting script solution. I'm not sure how Beth handled such areas, because I don't play with NPC followers much.]
