Vampires and the sun

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 9:06 am

it needs to be like in OB again, this daywalker twilight crap is ridiculous.

You posted the exact same thing in the other thread this guy posted in the other side of the forum for little reason, and you already recieved a response.

Actually, traditional vampire myth is that they simply cannot use their powers in sunlight. Vampires being harmed by sunlight is Hollywood's thing. It seems Skyrim as a whole has drifted more towards Dracula and less towards Nosferatu.

Well by that logic at night magic should be weaker since moonlight is just the suns light reflected.

It also doesn't make sense that vamps all use magic, yet have a weakness, aversion where the sun is concerned, that should make them weaker in magic not all magic users.

I think this lore needs work.

Kinda like a pagan Roman emporer helping to chose which books would end up in a Christian bible and which would become gnostic.

Nope, at night there are stars which are also a smaller hole made by magne-ge.

Lore does not makes sense? Most TES lores are like that, everything in tes is just a figment on abeing's imagination, Argonian originate from plants, etc.

So what? The OP posted the same exact topic, so he deserves the same damn response.

You would be surprised at how many people don't know this vampires originally are weakened in the sunlight so skyrim vampires are pretty close to folklore apart from the backwards feeding thing but I always rationalized it as the vampire's body giving you tools to get blood since you are starving. Plus skyrim vampires are not like twilight vampires twilight vampires don't go in the sun because they blood sparkle! They don't get weaker or anything like that they just SPARKLE it really annoys me when people compared skyrim vampires to twilight. =_=

So no red supergiant holes, just little pin pricks in the night sky. Sounds like what ancient humans thought, I suppose Skyrim is flat and one of the daedric princes is waiting for folk to fall off the edge into their oblivion gate mouth?

Is this lore in one of the Skyrim books you find in game, sounds like a fun read.
