Took 7 months for Dawnguard to come to one platform, its more than likely Hearthfire will be next September.

I STILL wonder wtf took them so long...

If its marketed well it will sell, just because other games are out doesnt stop people buying DLC for a title they already own.

I remember seeing an advert for DawnGuard during the advert break in the final of the world cup! I do not doubt there marketing skills. Next step is a TES half time show at the super bowl!

Patching probably. The first 4 months were probably allocated to bug patching and overan what with the 1.2 fiasco, and other time over-runs. My guess is they made Dawnguard in 2-3 months tops.

Same. Maybe they starting making hearthfire part way through Dawnguard's production and had two different teams. Maybe some of them are already working on the next Fallout. If not them I really don't understand the huge wait for something that should have been created in less time.

Patching is mostly done by coders. Artists and level editors can work on something else, which brings the question: what is the bulk of employees working now on, at Bethesda?

It's too early to be talking about a new DLC, and honestly I don't even think Bethesda has started to really work on it either.

However, maybe they will announce something at the end of september

Would they really release another DLC with the current one still hasn't been released to all platforms? I have heard nothing about Dawnguard for PS3 or PC as far as a release date goes. Some have speculated it would be September for that release. If I was to guess I'd say we are looking at 1st or 2nd quarter 2013. As long as the Mayans are wrong of course.

Either sometime this month or next is when PC probably gets Dawnguard. If no release for Hearthfire in September, we'll most likely get a release date for it. Considering Hearthfire IS the equivalent to our September, there has to be some sort of hint about it.

I could potentially see an October release of something. I thought I read Todd saying they were going to be doing these big dlc's with smaller ones intermixed between them though. Maybe I'm imagining that...

Zenimax Media (Parent company to Bethesda) filed a trademarked application called "Dawnguard" way before it was released. They did the same thing after Dawnguard hit the marketplace, except this time, the name of the trademarked application is "Hearthfire." It's likely this is the next DLC. Also, there are a series of books in Skyrim called "Hearthfire" with multiple versions. If you've read them, you'll find that it deals with the Psijic Order.
Ok if the next DLC deals with the psijic order im already sold :bunny: even if does include werebears

I'm all up for more conjuration spells, but seriously who said anything about werebears being included in Hearthfire?

Im still confident that HearthFire involves Tales and Tallows.
If so, it would be perfect to release it in October/November.
Its the TES equivilant of Hallowe'en, and involves a lot of conjuration/necromancy, and is a day mages flourish.
It could still involve Psijic order, just with a bit more flavour.
(the only thing is, how more Halloweeny can you get than Vampires?)

That would be a bad move, :P I'll be busy with RE6 then.

This is news to me. If Zenimax did trademark the name Hearthfire, then I do think there is a good chance that is the name of the next DLC. I also think that since it does correlate with the month of September, there might be some validity to that too!

That month probably won't see a release considering PC & Ps3 still haven't recieved Dawnguard. If anything, we'll see an announce trailer or something about the next DLC.

I hope you are right. I would love to get another DLC before the end of the year. I just an not hopefully.

I'm really hoping Hearth Fire is related to the Psijic order. They are my favorite faction in Skyrim (so far). I really want to learn more about them and maybe even join them!

I don't think the fact that PC and PS3 do not have Dawnguard affects whether Hearthfire comes out in September on Xbox. For one thing artists and level designers could be working on it while others implement Dawnguard on the PC and PS3. Furthermore the sooner they release Hearthfire the sooner they can release it for PS3 and PC since the deal is for the first two DLCs to be timed exclusives for Xbox and I have to imagine they'd want to have both DLCs released to all platforms by Christmas time. If released in September for Xbox it could be released by November on the remaining platforms.

The Psijic order would be fun and I would like more magic options (not that there aren't a bunch already but spell crafting would be very welcome). Also considering September's association with fall and multi-colored leaves I hope it implements the seasonal foliage feature from the game jam video. I mean, Vampire Lord was the last thing I expected to actually be implemented and it was one of the first!
