The hate for the Dawnguard homes...

^ This I agree ^ great idea.

I would love to either sell old homes I no longer use or rent them out. That way my spouse can run the store and collect the rent!

What I would really like is to be able to take over one of those fabulous redoubts that I've cleared in the Reach, clean it up and build a palace there. Talk about a view!

I'll ditto that! ^

I think just starting off with truly "open" floor plans for the houses you buy would be fantastic. It might be rough, and would likely require some small "construction" program that you can somehow access in game...but it could be done I'm sure. I'd like to at least move the furniture they give you around, or maybe ditch one furniture item for another, like more containers, or another set of shelves, maybe a few more wall hangers for weapons. All depending on the house of course.

I know that there are legal-logistical things that would likely not make the venture not worth it of Bethesda, but I have always wanted to pop in a "construction kit" disc into my Xbox360 and create things, save them onto a thumb drive then load them up into my game when I turn it on. Or! just make it so that I can build it on my PC, then drop it onto a thumb drive and load it that way. That would be....epic.

Castle Volkihar has that and even has one more merchant than Fort Dawnguard..lol Other things castle Volkihar has that makes it better than Fort Dawnguard is.. Coffins that give you magicka resistance when slept in and Blood of the ancients goblet. =P To each their own though. Most people just see the dining hall of the Castle Volkihar and assume it svcks. smh

ahh.. each have 3 merchants, dawnguard has a smelter, that is very convenient if you do much smithing, i deliberately didn't mention faction specific things like sleeping in coffins or crafting crossbows

I would rather see an easier way to put things back when they get knocked down put in game, have you ever tried standing back up that pot that got knocked over in your house? its a nightmare

They need to redo the "grab" logic so the base of the item points down. All my insects in a jar are sitting upside down on a shelf, and for the life of me I can't get my statue of Dibella to sit on its base, it just lays on its side.

The abandoned house would be the best house in the game, especially for vampires since there is a shrine in the basemant. I would make it my permanent residence if I could upgrade it.

Seconded, you know I did the Molag Bal quest after the Dawnguard quest, funny how Molag Bal does not recognise one of his "children" would have been nice to have some extra dialogue if you're a vampire.

Deepscorn hollow was awesome, but the fact you got the pure blood salts to cure yourself, was kind of dumb. It just took away the purpose of doing the vampire cure quest.
You know why the bloodsalts was there? Because people complained about the lengthy quest!

I wish the coffins in the castle Volkihar was like Deepscorn Hollow's coffin. But even the Volkihar have crappy sleeping coffins.

Is it just me being daft or does Castle Volkihar lack a smelter? Dawnguard fort has it and to me that was godsent.
