A Jarls justice. They just can't tell that the dude's a Vamp

Why can we pause right before death and chug down 6 health potions, 3 stacks of cheese, some horse steak, change weapons and stuff and nothing happened in the game world xD

Nothing is gonna be realistic. The perks, the sneaking, the NPC's awareness. As a vampire at like lvl 20 I could sneak, shoot a guy point blank with an arrow, he'd run into me, I'd keep shooting, and he'd just keep running straight. He'd never see me lol.

Skyrim, really realisticaly. Next prisoner... THUNK. Fun game. :)

I can do the same thing with my mage.. Only she's using FIREBALLS
Gotta love vampires fashon sense though. they give me black gloves, cool boots and unenchanted black hooded mage robes
Now I can play a "Black Mage" in style!

One thing that has kind of annoyed me is the Jarls justice quest. Where you have to prove the "adviser" is a vampire or get arrested/pay a fine for murder. The annoying thing is you've gotta pickpocket to get proof on this "person", which is pretty inconvenient considering I don't have anything in sneak or pickpocket.

What makes it strange is that no NPC can tell that the dude is a Nosferatu. I mean a guy from the Dawnguard comes up to you, and says that the mysterious stranger with the bright glowing orange eyes, pasty white skin, and pointy teeth is a Vampire. And they don't believe them?

At least let me cast the sunlight spell on him as a test. If he doesn't burn to death he's not a Vampire, if he does then nothing of value was lost.
I know right. This quest made me laugh so hard they couldn't tell that he was a vampire.

There's a mod for that!

Fixed that for you. Jk!

The only in-game justification I've found is what everyone has said above about illusion magic, and something Falion says. I can't recall it word for word, but he says somehting about "where you see a normal man, I see a monster" sort of implying that vamps can hide pretty well.

I killed him eventually and looted his very nice gloves and he was not wearing hooded black robes. He was wearing those weird vampire robes and a black cowl.

Does it say this in lore? If that is so, then howcome Serana asks the player "Can't you tell just by looking at me? I'm a vampire!"

Or the face changer recognizes you as a vampire, only to berate that she doesn't work on dead flesh. They may be skilled in illusion, but they can't blend in.

Why doesn't Auldin let you get executed? Why are there still only one kind of Khajiit in game? etc. Point: It's a game. Don't overthink it.

Its not like he knew you were on the chopping block. I don't even think he knew you existed and if he did then he could of just snatched you up and be done with it. But this also begs the question of him being able to differenciate between you and everyone else running around. If he couldn't tell the difference between you and all the other prisoners (I'm assuming this cause again he just doesn't eat you right then and there) then why did he attack Helgen?

OTHO, every guard in the darn province notices the otherwise-invisible hair growing out of my ears when I'm a vampire werewolf. I suspect the Imperial Task Force on Identifying Supernatural Entities has concentrated on Werewolf Spotting and neglected Vampire Characteristics. (Which might have something to do with the fact that it's being co-ordinated by the former Count of Skingrad....)
