Just a little something to throw out there and get some feed back on.
I'm describing the following in the frame of a future possible DLC to expand Dawnguard, but realistically it can easily be an addition for TES:6
A little Background: As far as DLC goes in Obilivion, the Vile Lair was by far my favorite. I loved everything about it, but most of all I really liked the minion that came with. I enjoyed sending him out and having him return with a bunch of gold and some random items.
To this end, I'm proposing just such an add-on. Assassin's Creed: Revelations handled this very well. I could be well balanced for both the Dawnguard and Vampire side.
- On the Vamp side I'd like to be able to sit at Harkon's desk and order a few vampires out on missions. I would like two or maybe three actual NPCs (vampire minions) hang around Volkihar Castle waiting for orders from me. These two or three would be local agents, sending them out to locations I've discovered on the map to just "kill" or I could send them out in my stead if I have one of those Radiant Quests pending (where I have to go kill or turn someone). On the desk would be a list of agents that work abroad, allowing me to send them out into various provinces to "complete X mission". All those that survive and return, do so with money and loot. Those who die will obviously need to be replaced, which I'll be able to send my minions out to do for me
.
- On the Dawnguard side, basically the same thing. Two or three NPCs mill around the keep until you give them orders to go out and hunt vampires in "X-area". Likewise, there would be a list on a table you can sit down at. From there you can coordinate efforts to restock the inventory of the Keep, as well as sending them out into other provinces to establish pockets of the guard and to hunt vampires abroad. All those that survive will return with gold and loot for you, as well as restocking certain items either within the keep or held by the vendor NPCs.
Keep it civil and keep in mind this is just a Brain Storming session

Thanks!
