So my huge question to these kind of people is...
WHY? What in the world makes you think you're that special?
I mean, let's look at some facts here. Most of us pay $60 for a full game such as Halo, COD, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed or even the singleplayer Elder Scrolls games. Now these games come with a variety of content ranging from as much as 10 - well over 100 hours, but even so that content does have a limit and a line so that $60 only goes towards so much content.
Now we can expand on that content with expansions or map packs and such, things we BUY, as in we PAY MONEY FOR THEM.
So my real question is, what the hell makes us so special that we expect to NOT ONLY have to pay normal game price for a game with more content than any normal game, but then as well to expect FREE, QUALITY, REGULAR CONTENT UPDATES without paying a dime, something we don't even do for far worse far shorter lasting games.
We pay for additional content and that is the end of it, nothing should be free. If they make a decent game that is enjoyable to play then as players and ESPECIALLY fans of the series we should be completely fine with coughing up a small monthly fee to ensure that the game makes money and in turn gives the devs the incentive to continually produce well made enjoyable expansions and slowly flesh out the world to the likes of which we will probably never see in a singleplayer Elder Scrolls.
On the other hand, if the game is bad, or very similar to others such as SWTOR (let's face it, why pay monthly for a WoW clone when you can just play the far better original instead) then by all means complain about paying monthly, but until we know if the game is going to be a disaster or not, please stop complaining and sit by, because regardless of how highly you think of yourself, you DO NOT deserve large content updates FOR FREE.
And as a side note, if you try to pull the old "well $15 is so much money!" just get lost because most of us spend far more than that every month on far stupider [censored]. In this day and age that's really not a lot so TOUGH.
