so that an Xbox or a Ps3 couldnt handle the game ? so that when you play in an xbox or Ps3 you started playing with 5 FPS, yeah that sounds really good
also why do people blame Bethesda when NV was made by Obsidian!

Why could it? It was in 2D. I know it is possible for some 3D games on current consoles to have tons going on, but none of Bethesda's games can due to how it is made. Ever got to that one part of Fallout 3's Broken Steel add on that had tons going on all over the place. Guns shooting, over 20 turrets it seemed were trying to blast the character apart. I don't know if this was just an issue for the PS3, but the game was on the verge of locking up on me due to how much slowdown it was struggling with during that.

Oblivion had a similar problem, but it wasn't as bad.

If I wanted large, strategic battles I'd play Total War, not Skyrim.

And then they went full 3D for their battles in Suikoden III but there still wasn't any lag because each fight was 6 on 6 lol.

Personally, I think for this kind of game, they actually pulled off the Civil War battles pretty well.

If I want something better, i'll play Mount & Blade.

if they want to make a war at least make it right if the consoles don't keep up they should make it kinda strategic like missions on assassins revelations or missions to kill generals or steal supplies

Haven't finished Suikoden 3 yet, so didn't know of that. Oops...

The Wars in Skyrim V mod seems to have disappeared, but Warzones 5 claims more than 7,000 npcs and 400 battles.

You could use Warzones, if your rig is badass enough.

 Nvm. Your loss, don't complain about the game if you are too lazy to fix it yourself with a few clicks of the mouse and a first grade education.

This is actually a good idea. When doing the Imperial questline, I felt that all I ever did was taking over forts. Civil War could use more quests like A False Front and Compelling Tribute.

The Wars in Skyrim V mod seems to have disappeared, but Civil Unrest in Skyrim claims more than 7,000 npcs and 400 battles.
Yes, it's a good mod, so is Warzones (is it still around?). It also made me understand console limtiations better, because my two years old non-gaming laptop chokes even when I try to sneak by one of those battlefield, let alone take part in the skirmish

Nah. Mods are necessary to save your game from bugs  I mean Unofficial Skyrim Patch of course. But other mods, if they're popular and their author keeps updating them, are unlikely to break your game. Mod conflicts is what you should be wary of, that's why it's so important to read all instructions.

Is it not more due to console limitations (maybe even more so for PC) you may notice a similar thing with Assassins Creed-although the impression is given there are lots of characters when you examine carefully its probably no mor e than 20 or so and most with little or no interaction.
Until everything games wise is beefed up (give it 10 years at current progress) nothing much will change-software developers are far more interested in gimmicks to try and sell dumbed down games en masse, console developers are under pressure if some of these threads are anything to go by just to churn out dlc or develop true hd capability or maybe even 3D-so who would committ to a thousand strong army

Although a little more variety to the civil war would have been ideal (such as that cut content), I don't think large battles are needed for a game like Skyrim.

 Perhaps try out a few proper mods before judging them all as buggy?
