And if so, does anyone understand how women were named? If a non-Roman woman married a Romanized man, would she take the female version of his name? (IE: Her Brit name is "Narina" and her husband's roman name is "Caius Atius Varus".. would she then become Narina Atia Vara?... so confused!)
Edit: Btw, the only reason I ask this here is because there seems to be more British literature about this than I have access to here in the US and lots of you are from across the pond.
