Dark Elves may have raspy voices this time around?

By the 8 I hope they do. Don't get me wrong the cockney voice isn't that bad but it's just not the Dunmer voice...

I hate the fact that in both Oblivion and Skyrim they had the raspy voices in the gameplay teasers but once the game came out they were not included.
its called bait and switch.

Guys this is an add on to skyrim. They're not remaking Morrowind.

I really doubt they are going to make any changes to the character models or voices or much of anything else.

They got the raspy voice back for Jiub in Dawnguard; Jiub himself was obviously a tribute/shoutout to all the Morrowind fans playing Dawnguard. So, since (I suspect) this DLC is at least somewhat trying to bring back some Morrowind nostalgia, I wouldn't discount the possibility of the Dunmer getting back their raspy voices...but I wouldn't put any bets on it either.

Aaah, yes the raspy , dark elf voice anybody loves... I'm glad to see so many people remember and love this detail from Morrowind.

Chances to see it happen in Dragonborn? Close to zero. It would mean redoing all the generic greetings and dialogues shared with dark elves everywhere in Skyrim.

There is no reason to have the most dark and unforgiving race in the game to sound like Australians. I don't care how they got their smokers lung, but they need it back.

At least they don't sound like they did in Oblivion. Yeeeech! I couldn't even play a Dunmer in Oblivion.

The one thing that really pisses me off is that Beth used Jeff Baker's (the Dunmer voice from Morrowind) voice in the Skyrim pre release footage, but his voice is not in the game. Such a let down.

While I do miss their voice from Morrowind as it was so iconic (in my opinion anyway), and it would be nice to have it back.
But as long as I never hear their Oblivion voice again. The voices vanilla Skyrim has for Dunmer are fine by me.

I would love to have the Morrowind voice for the Dunmer back. By far my favorite voice in the series.

They aren't going to change their voices back to raspy.. Even though it was better.
I liked it a lot more but they aren't going to go spend money on new voice actors to do it when they already probably have the voice actors from before under contract to cover voice acting for characters ( such as some Dark Elves ) in Skyrim and throughtout it's dlc's.

I know that they're not remaking Morrowind....Solsthiem is right next to Morrowind, refugees from Morrowind after the eruption of Red Mt. could have fled to Solsthiem and still have that scratchy smoker's voice.

There's no reason for them not to. Where they live now is ashier than much of Vvardenfell originally.

Besides: the ash has nothing to do with the voice, that's only conjecture, an illogical, at that.
