Should Paarthurnax pay for past sins or be allowed to live i

1. there's always choice, he basked in the worship of the people for far too long before turning his back on his brother and his dragon nature.
2. that's debatable
3. he taught the voice to nords and a nord taught him the "Way of the Voice"...seems to me like an even trade and debt paid.
4. I don't work for nor agree with the blades and their ways, I made a note of that in the bottom of my OP

3. he taught the voice to nords and a nord taught him the "Way of the Voice"...seems to me like an even trade and debt paid.

You blind? I wrote the reasons for and against it . It was not my opinion but general opinions from this forum...If that post was opinion based I would start with : "I think that...blablabla" or "In my oppinion..." or any derivatives of those two. Seriously I even added a Nazi example from history to back up the "Kill dat dragon" voices..

I agree that if there is repentance, than Paarthurnax has done this. He has guided the Greybeards and shared the knowledge taught to him by Jurgen Windcaller. But as with the Greybeards, I believe he doesn't do enough to stop Alduin. And by enough I mean that he doesn't actively try and stop Alduin until Alduin arrives on the Throat of the World.

With all that said, the make-up of your character should be the determing factor in whether to kill or spare Paarthy.

I've never played a character that thought killing him was a good idea. This is primarily because most of my characters have a pretty dark past themselves, and most have had to seek redemption in one way or another. My current Argonian mage is responsible for murdering thousands of Dunmer during the Red Year, and he comes to terms with that dark aspect of himself every day.

I think Paarthurnax said it best: Who is the better man? He who is good by nature, or he who has to strive for goodness each and every day? Unless your character's a saint, you'd have to be a hypocrite to slay this noble creature.
true, that's why I said that this is the only dragon that my nord gives respect and honor to but that doesn't mean he's absolved of his crimes and doesn't have to pay the penalty like the rest, it only means he gets an honorable death and memorial.

I guess these spoiler-filled threads are allowed in the general forum?

Unfortunately, I am on my phone and am not sure how to add spoilers. I apologize if I personally have spoiled anything.

Sigh...Putting reasons on a list is not concidered a debate. It's more of textbook example.

But as for me. Concider this.

What exactly can be gain from his death? Can we duel him with honor or we just attack him because we can? Isn't it unsettling that this being trusted us and helped us (for whatever reasons) and we for this will not even justify to him why he needs to die? It will not bring back the countless lives. It will not even make justice it's a plain example of retribution. And retribution is just another word for revange. And eye for an eye is a simplistic and barbarian way for justification. Can we [censored] the rappist, torture the torturer. Will this be justice or a sick way for fullfilling our basic animal emotional needs. Isn't more virtuous for intelligent being to forgive? And by murdering the murderer are we bringing justice or just becoming the same evil (this time necessary in our eyes) that we just vanquished.

Booyah and Hell Yeah. B)

Ironically, Paarthurnax is the only reason the ancient Nords can give birth to modern Nords.

Let's just be honest: Kynareth apparently thought that Paarthurnax had a good side, thus she asked for his help. If you gleefully accepted the blessings of both Kynareth and Paarthurnax and then betray them both, you yourself is available for headhunting.
