Okay this whole Xbox exclusivity thing is getting a little o

Post » Tue Jan 01, 2013 4:47 am

So when Dawnguard came out, I shrugged it off... Xbox users need to have their fun right? Who cares if they get it first? I don't care.

Then Hearthfire came out... Okay... I waited 30 extra days for a 4.99 DLC... but I got to adopt some n'erdowell children and have chickens in my lodge. Okay, I'll give you a pass Bethesda...

Now I'm watching everyone and their MOTHER post full playthroughs of Dragonborn. I can't take two steps without someone posting a spoiler, or complaining about feature X ... which I can't even [censored] try

This is getting ridiculous. Bethesda, you made a sweet game here... and you've supported it non-stop... and for that I commend you. But this exclusivity thing with Xbox is the equivalent of slapping PC users in the face with your junk... It's degrading and pointless... not to say junk slapping someone in the face is always pointless, but in this case it is.

I know they won't do anything about it. But I'm tired of being silent about it. I disapprove Bethesda.

lol, you have NO right to complain. You are a PC user, and have gotten DLC and support.
PS3 users Such as myself actually have a reason to complain. We got nothing.

WIth all due respect, topics like this are getting old. Are forums complaint departments? And what is up with the "poor me, I can't avoid seeing Dragonborn spoilers :(". I personally have yet to see a single spoiler of any sort. You are doing it to yourself mate.

It's true, but these threads are the only way to show Bethesda how we feel about the exclusivity deal and their ambiguous, misleading announcemenets. We could send emails too - and I recall some of us doing so - but the forums are supposed to be a place where we can voice our concerns, aren't they? Hopefully the devs, or at least Gstaff, take note of these threads and realize that their policy is alienating a huge fanbase.

Why the hell would he/she downgrade?

Like a user above said, we PS3 have nothing, NOTHING!

All you P.C users should get together, and pay Bethesda more than Microsoft, to end the exclusivity deal.....
Money Talks people. Edit-
I play skyrim on 360 mainly for the deal.
But I still have P.C and skyrim, and a PS3 for it's awesome exclusive games!

It must be nice being on Xbox, and knowing its users are the first priority.

With all due respect, I find your post a bit off-putting.

PS3 owners should be the ones upset in all of this. They, unbeknownst to them, purchased a console not fit for the standard games that are being shelled out for this generation. Sure they look great, but how many who purchased the product knew that the system limitations from a memory/storage/RAM perspective would hinder any future DLC for one of their favorite games? Bethesda is working on this and will release somethings in the next week few weeks.

Speaking as a console owner, don't you also have access to about a zillion (not exagerating) mods and graphical enhancements to occupy your time? Plus, every DLC for the PC is about a month out. This is likely due to the resources and mods the PC fanbase has, so they throw the console users a bone. Like Bethesda has already said as official release, you'll have your DLC about a month after the XBOX release. I find the timing of your post ironic as they could release the DLC for the PC freakign tomorrow if they wanted to. There's really no waiting time from announcement to the Steam purchase for the PC users as well.

I don't mean to be ornery about this, but posts like this are a stick in the eye. PC users are really the upper echelon of the gaming community from an access and resource standpoint, a la. --&--#62; all the goodies. If you're so upset about the spoilers, exercise some self control and stay off the Dragonborn forums in general. The moderatiors are doing a bang up job moving this to specific forums to avoid this.

Shadow Titan, http://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/149ryt/psa_the_reason_why_skyrims_dlcs_arent_on_ps3_yet/. It explains the logistics on why its not released yet for PS3. It's the hardware of the PS3 vs. the Skyrim engine itself. Its not you guys (PS3 users) specifically.

You're absolutely right, Mazz816. My post was more or less a bit of sarcasm and not meant to be taken 100% seriously... but yes... PS3 users really got the shaft in terms of DLC. From what I'm reading, Bethesda is saying that it's hardware limitations... dunno if there's any credence to that but that's what they're saying.

I honestly feel sorry for PS3 users, you guys are missing out on some really epic DLC ... I know Bethesda will not leave you guys hanging, but it's really a waiting game.
