As always, my thoughts go out to the family of the victim. Hopefully the injuries sustained were not life threatening.

Why, however, isn't this plastered over every single news outlet out there like the Connecticut shooting? Is it because it's not sensational enough? Because not enough people died?
Or is it because the media cannot blame gun control laws (of which California has some of the strictest in the country) or "assault rifles" (preliminary reports state that a shotgun was recovered).
