5 reasons why perk respect is broken

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 8:35 pm

Well yes, this, but it's the whole idea of dumbing the game down.

Nobody is forcing you to use the dumbed down options.

Also, having to create a new character anytime you either mess up a perk tree or get bored doesn't make the game more complicated. I don;t see how this option dumbs down anything.

1. you no longer need permanent investments in the crafting skills you can just respect into them when needed, this allows a good 12-15 new perks freed up

2.you can style your bulit per questline , eg you can invest in lock picking sneak and pick pocketing for theif quests,

3.you can get rid of ill spend perks and fix up bulids

4. you can change bulids whenever you like and this means you only really need 1 lvl 81

5. actully makes it quicker to lvl because you can just max out the perk tree your levling then reset it
Well cry me a river. Here is some advice: DON'T USE IT.

Amazing .... Team Bethesda adds cool new features to a single player game that allows the console user/player to customize/play/enjoy the game however they like.

..... And still people complain regardless LOL. OMGS g@m3z dumbed down and broken I can toss spears and makes new armors and stuffs LOL.

I think the new features are awesome. The Dragonborn DLC is definitely worth the money and time invested. Awesome job Bethesda thankyou for this game!

At this point, back at the perk reset thread in general discussion, people simply mumbled something about "consequences", and the discussion ended abruptly.

Why does a game, which sole purpose is to entertain, need such consequences?

Saying you need to reroll after spending 30 hours on a character because you no longer like their perks is asinine and not fun in any way.

Just because I could make my PC a titan by scaling up and rampaging through Skyrim like King Kong and Godzilla, didn't make me do it. Now I can try & see the full benfits of other skills and perk appropriately.

I understand your point, however Its not about it being good, bad, unfair or w/e you want to call it.. Console players now finally have the freedom to change their face and hair (DG) and respec if they want.. like the PC players out there.

I personally enjoy making a build and then levelling with it, this option is not for me, but having the freedom.. is something us console players have hoped for a looong time.

This is very odd. Is anyone forcing you to respec? If not, then what's the problem?

As a PC user, I have trouble understanding this mentality. I've been able to respec since day one with console commands - I never did, not even to test a build. I never felt compelled to. My ability to respec definitely didn't break my game.

If you think it's broken and cheapens your game experience, just don't use it. It's your decision.
