From what I've noticed so far, there appears to be a lot of common ground between the Elder Scrolls Online and other games such as WoW. I'm not saying that it is necessarily a bad thing, it certainly won't feel awkward for MMO veterans, however, I've a couple of uneasy points:
- The loss of first-person perspective, which will make the game feel exactly like all of the other MMOs. Would it be possible to locate enemy characters behind you through a system of visuals that display which side you're being hit from? (Similar to Halo) Not only would it be more immersive, but we'd have to consciously look over our shoulders for that assassin.
- Armour visuals. At the minute, they look a tad too ornate for my liking. What ever happened to the simplistic iron and hide that we had in Skyrim? And this is long before Skyrim even happens.
What do you guys think?
