For instance in a TESO Off the Record podcast it is said that you can get certain things by joining the Mages guild.
Lets say you want to play a low fantasy character and dont want to join the Mages guild.
Or you want to to specialize in certain aspects of the game and dont want to explore everything, will you get yourself into group encounters or guild scenarios were it is expected that you maxed out abilities, skills or quests you dont like or want?
And you have to get skills that are typical for other classes just to get invited to groups or AvA?
We see MMOs becoming more casual friendly and in general that is a good thing (although it has some side effects too).
It is good that you dont have to play 4+ hours every day to be competitive.
I think TESO aims to be casual friendly too, but everyone can get everything might turn that a little bit into more time consuming.
I think in TES it is nice that in theory you can do everything, but since it is a singleplayer game it doesn't matter if you don't join the guilds etc. that you don't want to.
But I am not sure it is all good in a MMO that everyone get get everything.... for reasons I already explained and I like diversity between the players.
