Especially Jack. He's my favorite formless bundle of pure hate.
I say good for EA. Maybe they'll turn [censored] around before they start pushing Star Wars.
Kind of an odd definition of evil you got there.
Indeed. Sometimes I even refer to it as 'sarcasm'. This time I can't be blamed for the misunderstanding.
Maybe I should just stop making those posts, they don't lead to anything good
Is it not absurd that they want used game profit? Where did those used games come from? They've been bought and paid for. They've already been profited off of. Gaming media should call them out on this... all the time... over and over.
That's how I think about it. If I buy some shoes, and sell them to my friend about a year later, should I have to give a portion of my money to the company that made the shoes? No, that doesn't make sense.

I really need to pay more attention to other posts.
Ah well, this is just another step in PR repair. It'll work, too, as it did for Activision, and soon enough we'll talk about how evil Ubisoft is or something. Those French bread eating...
Before I go any further I would like to say I'm ecstatic about EA dropping online passes.
I would however like to say I'm waiting to see what horrible creation takes it place.
This is a positive change, but EA still has a long road to take if it wants to redeem itself.
The most likely explanation is that they've got an even more evil plan up their sleeve.
They'll probably start charging 5 cents for every click on an icon owned by EA. 10 cents to double click.
I don't like EA's business practices, what with wanting for more than they've earned and their penny gouging. This was just a matter of trial & error, and now they're backtracking due to a negative reception from their crowd. Sure, they're doing the right thing by removing the online passes, but they wouldn't have to if they hadn't been selfish enough to implement the feature in the first place.
Good for them, it's nice to see that EA can be counted on to do the right thing once all other options have been exhausted. Now, if they also stop tying their games to Origin, and stop trying to nickle and dime customers with DLC and microtransations, then I might actually be willing to consider buying one of their games once it drops to a sub $20 price point.
