I'm getting a PS4, at least more than likely.
Switching to PC gaming has been a headache, mostly because I don't know a whole lot about PCs. I haven't really learned a whole lot either. Mods have been both a boon and a bane. I also don't have ANY friends who game on PC, well at least any real life ones. I know the consoles are the more limited experience but I find it to simply be more enjoyable and easy. I am also more familiar with a controller and they never seem to work properly for me on PC.
PCs are better though. You basically need a PC anyways in todays world, so it kills two birds with one stone, you have superior graphics and the ability to upgrade on a part by part basis. Steam and GOG sales are awesome. You save a ton of money on games. If you have a powerul laptop it can be incredibly convenient for gaming as well.
I am playing the Witcher 2 on PC right now and well, I love the game so far, but the gameplay on mouse and keyboard is atrocious. This has been true for practically every game for me. The controllers never seem to work well. Doesn't help that I have a mid range lap top either. For me, PC gaming has been both fun and painful. It is a hell of a lot less simple than console gaming.
Guess that is my two cents. It is better but a headache as well. Hard to tell what the new consoles will be like. PC has better exclusives though. I am just going to keep gaming on both, just going to limit my PC gaming to older or more simplistic games. I run the Witcher Two on mostly minimum settings after all. Which svcks because the Witcher 3 will have none of my saves transfer over...
