The thing is he isn't suggesting anything or giving any detail on why he thinks what he will think. He is simply saying it svcks and will fail repeatedly. That is drastically different than what you have done with how you feel the game should be.

hes new to the forums and should have a chance to state his opinions no matter how often this subject has been brought up before. if he looks for the older threads then those threads get locked because forums rules. please be fair and let him show us how he feels, because most of what hes saying is what many people come here often to talk about and ends up locked thread which isn't fair.

I played a non cookie cutter build in WOW for over 10,000 hours. Why would I need an alt / replay value when I am still having a [censored]-ton of fun with the first?

IMO ESO will be the same.

I posted replies to his posts. And possibly posts to his other account.

For one good point he makes which is pretty much known fact by a majority of the players on this forums (who have threads already devoted to those topics.) He makes four statements based on opinion conjecture and worse yet Misinformation. I respect anyone whose opinions differ from my own. And I agree with many points made contrary to my own viewpoints. Such as an open and persistent world with non locked factions. But I will not respect people wielding opinion and lies as facts. Since you aren't asking me to do so I will not.

But I will stay on topic, should he make an argument I will rebut. And I apologize for pointing out poster's whom don't have an interest in meaningful discourse, as amusing as it is, it is not meaningful to the discussion at hand.

Now shake each others hand and perhaps add a kiss as bonus.

I wonder what kind of meaningful discussion should one expect from failthread anyway. Its ridiculous in its very concept, you just top it up with user who joined this very day and has little to none knowledge about the game ... I supposed everyone should get the picture

My girlfriend probably wouldn't like the latter but I am happy to shake hands.

I think that's half right. My primary point of contention is that you shouldn't post something on the forum without being at least partially willing to discuss or collide with an opposing viewpoint. I post my opinions and ideas all the time, but I don't think the words that fall from my lips are infallible or irreproachable. No one's is. Every idea is in fact fallible or open to conjecture and interpretation. As long as people whom post as part of a forum are at least withing 1% willing to admit they are wrong or could be wrong then it's possible for a meaningful discussion to be had.

My only intention in posting in a fail thread outside of garnering the opinions of my peers and actively participating in the community which in part will have a presence in the game to come is to grow and hone my viewpoints through meaningful discourse. And as someone who is working on trying to self teach himself to create a product for an entertainment medium, every bit of + I can get to my viewpoints is invaluable :P .

(sorry that was a tad ranty but i hope at least some of it made sense to someone out there)

its never a fail thread when some one has a point there trying to get across. he may be much like myself and not really very good at debating. I hate debate its meaningless

but he does have a point when he is saying that there should not be alliances locked and blocking us from places and friends and being forced to play a race we will never play just to have access to tose things. I play a dark elf the entire series of el;derscrolls and plan to continue this in eso. by doing that im blocked from the full game experience and I don't see that as fair.

many other mmo's have open world pvp and open zones and its working fine with their methods.

Sigh, you guys have gone way too philosophical there. But let me share my opinion too

I hate fail threads. The reason why I hate them is because they are absolutely beyond my comprehension. I never figured out why would anyone bother making an account on forums and posting, if he is convinced the game will be terrible and its going to fail.

I spend my time here because im a fan of Elder Scrolls for almost twenty years, I am watching the development closely and I am very happy about most of features. If I wasnt, it would never occur to me to waste time here, trying to convince people that the game is going to fail. I played GW2 it disappointed me total, I hate current state of WoW which I enjoyed in vanilla .... but I never ever went to their forums to rant about it. Why the hell would I do that? It just doesnt worth my time. I rather spend time talking about ESO because I think it will be glorious.

Wildstar. Its art style is making me vomit, I absolutely hate childish art styles. Yet I never ever opened any Wildstar forum posting "this game look like Naruto anime, its gonna fail"

All this is beyond my comprehension. I have no idea what incentive is behind this behavior. If anyone of you guys have a degree in psychology and can enlighten me, I would be grateful
