A standard radio alarm clock with a chime that sounds like an 8 bit interpretation of forks scratching a dinner plate. Only thing in the world that can wake me from over sleeping.

Music would not wake me up, music is what I use to fall asleep sometimes.

Cocteau Twins - Lorelei, if Sunscape by Ozric Tentacles don't work. When I was a wee'un at Uni, me mate had a timer plug, a Thorens record player, and Too Drunk To... by the Dead Kennedys; now that's an alarm.

The song "Let's Go" by Tonedeff. It starts with a drum line and is a huge "pump up" song, so it's something good to get going in the morning.

I just use a plain old alarm clock, with the radio tuned to the local country station and turned up fairly loud.

If I have uni that day, then I'll set an alarm. Otherwise I don't make it a priority to get up in the morning. On a good night I'll sleep anywhere from 8-12 hours, and I'll go to bed late to boot. Somehow this erratic sleeping schedule annoys my parents, though, so occasionally they'll rouse me inexplicably at a random time in the morning so that I "don't miss uni" on days that I actually don't have any lectures to attend in the first place. Maybe they'd be a bit more agreeable if they tried getting 12 hours of sleep themselves every once in a while.

Sounds like a good idea. IT does work better when you hear a sound you don't know what it is.

I've been using the default alarm noise of my tablet. And a cellphone if i really need to be up by certain time, i put the phone on a wooden bench i have, and the vibration makes more loud and annoying noise than the alarm :hehe:

Hakuna Matata - it annoys the hell out of me, but it gets me out of bed to turn it off.

The Lion King hasn't been the same since :(

I wake up to the sound of Super Mario on my 3ds. Every morning is like beginning a new level.

A noise, an annoying noise that walks me up. It sounds like my fiancee when she does her hysterical pig sounding laugh.

I have the, "Dammit!! I don't want to go to work!!" roll over and punch the snooze button another 40 times before getting up alarm. Failing that then I have my wife to get me up. Man, can that woman snore.

I have the soundtrack of The Magnificent Seven on my iPhone. It's my ringtone too, I've often several compliments on it. :D

Haha :D

During weekdays: My mom. Partly because she stole my alarm clock, so now i have none. I dont like using phone alarms, my family has a phobia of leaving phones on overnight beside you while you sleep.

During weekends: Myself, and my desire for some serious gaming :D which usually makes me wake up at around 8 ish, sometimes 7 ish.

I awaken to silence. I am usually the first one up in the house and awaken without a prompt of any kind. There is no noise unless the wind is blowing very hard. So somewhere around 5 or 5:30 I get up and soon after the only sound is the coffee pot brewing. If I'm lucky I can sit in silence for about another hour before everyone else starts stirring around.

I have two alarms. The first is the heater kicks in just before I am supposed to wake up. This wakes me up as it starts to get hot in bed. Then, my regular alarm clock goes off about 15 minutes later. Since the chill is off the air, there is no excuse to stay in bed.
