What song or general sound do you wake up to on the morning? (Note: Your parents DO count)

Mute. My Samsung Galaxy vibrates. Terrible noise.
I sleep like a rock (I overslept again this morning). I have a loud beeping clock, 2 TVs set to the local weather station (one digital, the other through a converter box, so the sound is a split second off, very jarring), an annoying tune on an old phone, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83ozOX9l7M8 on the current phone, and a light in my face (on a timer).
My alarm clock.
Alternatively my cat, but that's at 5 a.m.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHg8jTH7Bqk. I associate phone calls and being awoken prematurely with unpleasantness, so I refuse to associate a song I like with that.
A 10-pound cat launching herself into the air and landing on my chest is usually the culprit.
My Great-Grandad (who was an aviation engineer in World War II) joked that he uses the sound of the alarms used in the London Blitz for his alarm, because that little panic where he doesn't know where he is when he wakes up coupled with that sound often gets him up and moving.
I can imagine that. One lands on my chest...her sister is attacking my feet through the blanket.
I usually wake up from either my alarm clock, my girlfriend, or cat. It's usually a combination of all three.
Sounds like a bomb range in the morning
I generally meant if you wake up to a song as your alarm or something, but whatever. Morbid responses are responses I suppose
Well, I got my alarm clock at a really strange store.
Other people saying "get up!"
...likely because I'm still traumatized by the alarm I used in college. Clock radio that had this hideous/loud/jarring buzzer for the Alarm setting. Definitely woke me up every morning, but it was kind of like a jump-scare in a horror movie. (problem was that anything less, I could ignore. Also had to put the clock out of reach on the other side of the room, so that I couldn't just hit the snooze. )
I'm self employed, so I have the joy of waking up whenever the hell I want, however I usually end up waking up earlier then I want, because I have to get work done to make money.
But yeah, I don't have an alarm, I just go to sleep and usually wake up around 8 or so and just get up and go to work. Rush hour in the city here ends at around 8:30 or 9:00 so that's usually when I leave to work, then I stay at work until after rush hour at around 6:30 to 7:00 or so and go home and avoid the traffic.
So in conclusion, as was said earlier: I wake up to the sound of my free will!
I just wake up when I have to. Before I go to bed, I will set a time I have to wake up at. I did it just on Remembrance day to help with the ceremony and set up.
The alarm my cell phone was programmed with. When I don't use an alarm which is mostly weekends when I don't have to work.. my cats start knocking things off my dresser to wake me up to feed them.
I only wake up when I need to be up. Otherwise, I stay fast asleep even when the loudest noises are going on around me.
I find if i continuously use the same song as my alarm, I eventually get used to it and it stops waking me up..
So, I have an app for my phone which randomly picks one of the 600 songs on it for my alarm each day..
meaning I never get used to the alarm, and as such it continuously wakes me up
Just whatever the generic one is for Android, I havent changed it on my phone.
I dont use music for my alarm anymore since every song I've ever used I now despise with an unholy passion. Only so many times a song can wake you up at 6am before you subconsciously associate it with suffering and misery.
my radio-alarm clock, I use the radio as my alarm since the actual alarm apparently doesn't wake me up until it's 110 decibals.
it's either the alarm itself which is basically *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *BWEEP* *BWEEEEP*
or the radio, which isn't entirely better but at least I wake up to screaming singers instantly
