Xbox One Subscription

Post » Fri Dec 13, 2013 11:53 am

Will there be a subscription for the Xbox One version?? I remember the devs say that they wanted to convince Microsoft to allow Gold to play it like a F2P or something like that like PS version.

I really want this game but wont be able to afford a monthly subscription on top of the Xbox Live Gold i pay monthly.

no matter what, there will be a $15 sub. the only thing that would change is the Xbox live payment, which you would not need to play eso. OR at least that was the plan, but Microsoft is being Microsoft and making xbox one users pay for the Xbox live payment to play ESO. Why would you waste your money on such an obvious money grab as the Xbox one is beyond me, but yeah, you will have to pay $15 no matter what and $5 for live.

Sony resided the $5 payment for their service requirement for ESO and you do not need their premium service to play ESO, you just have to pay the $15 sub.

Edit: Nevermind I understood your post wrong.

You will have to pay $15 a month no matter what to play TESO. Zenimax is trying to let their console users play without having to pay even more to play on consoles, but as far as I know only Sony is willing to allow that.

To answer why u wonder i got the One instead of PS4. I have a 2 years contract with MS. 15 bucks per month. Only 1 year left on it and if i got the PS4, it would make my whole 15 bucks be for nothing, just want to make sure i have my moneys worth.

Do u guys think there will be a 3 months or so like the Lives model?? They have monthly, 3 months and a year model

I'd almost bet money that there will be several month packages that are cheaper than the base price, but they haven't broken down the pricing yet. They just said there would be more details about that stuff later on.

Plus, if you have an Xbox and are a console player its not very likely ESO is going to be the only online game you play. So you'll get more than your moneys worth by all the other content you'll use with the live sub fees.

June is a long way off yet. A lot of things can happen between now and then so I'd just find something else to think about and wait until they get closer to a console launch before accepting that anything is written in stone.

Nice. Well if they have a reasonable pricing on sub models, ill defo get it. Like a year for 60 to 80 bucks. Ill get it. But monthly will put a strain on my financials since i pay the mortage and bank loans and bills

Doubt they'll get that cheap for a year, but maybe.

It is unlikely to be only $60-$80, i can think of no game that does it that cheaply, even for a year long one. cheapest is Probably $100 for a year, but even that is unlikely.

Usually there is a 3 month sub also. Hope they have gametime cards available to but time will tell.

Like one member said, nothing is set in stone.

If i end up buying this game, it will be my very first official MMO since SWTOR was played for a few days and i regret buyin that game. So i want to make sure i have made the right decision on TESO

There is likely going to be a discount for getting a one year subscription. I doubt that the monthly subscription will be lower than $10 if you buy for the whole year.

I just love flashing this link for some reason (http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/07/sony-pushed-for-the-elder-scrolls-online-to-come-to-consoles) but I think its the reason why Sony was more willing to bend on that. They know a game like this on their console is a boon.

agreed, they definitely made up for the PS3 this generation. I HATED the PS3 and liked the Xbox 360 (though Nintendo still beats both :)) now it is the other way around this time (Nintendo still on top though)

Thats all your opinions. I honestly love the xbox. It has better UI and more things. And i like the entertainment portion too.

It all comes down to the players preferences. I prefer the Xbox. You guys prefers the PS.

There will be discounts for paying more than one month at a time.

QUOTE

"We'll go into details on this later, but the basic monthly charge will be $14.99/€12.99/£8.99 and expect some discounts if you buy multiple months at a time," Firor continued, "We'll also support game time cards as well as a variety of payment methods."

Here is the link it came from http://www.examiner.com/article/elder-scrolls-online-to-cost-standard-15-a-month

Here is another http://www.technologytell.com/gaming/116819/the-elder-scrolls-online-will-cost-14-99-a-month/
