Gold Sellers & Bots ?

Post » Wed Jan 22, 2014 3:31 pm

Macroing as in yelling in zone chat is easy to do with an programmable keyboard.
Mods might make this easier as you can often send text strings to chat, saving you from an expensive keyboard.
However the main reason we will get few obvious gold sellers is that its a premium game, getting permanently banned will cost you $60.

In any F2P game you just create an new account and continue.

Yes we will get web pages who sell this, most offer services to many MMO, not only gold but also leveling and other stuff.

I honestly think he's a troll. I dont know how he hasn't been warned or banned, because he's willfully spreading disinformation in a ton of different threads.

I've explained it to him, you've explained it to him, I'm sure a hundred people have by now - he has no idea how mods, addons, bots, hacks, or anything like that actually work. He's just basically a doomsayer that you cant reason with.

Makes sense in theory, doesnt work that well in practice.

Take FFXIV for instance, its a game you both need to buy and pay a sub for (just like ESO except the game is cheaper) and yet RMTing is quite a big deal.

I hope the high price of ESO (60 dollars being a lot compared to the 20 you spend for ffxiv) will help, but i am somewhat skeptical. The game wont cost that much forever.

Some accounts are not bought but just scammed (be very careful with your id/password).

Some others are apparently "legit" players.

The spam is easier to handle than the botting/macroing resources.

Personally i gave up on expecting an interesting economy in MMOs, and thats too bad.

edit. now that i think about it having the most important resources in Cyrodiil could help, as bots wouldnt last long out there, but the same is true for legit gatherers/crafters.
