I still wonder if the Montana BoS is actually canon or not.
I still wonder if the Montana BoS is actually canon or not.
I wouldn't be completely against this. I generally don't like prequels, but since Boston is quite a long way from Vegas or Washington, I can't see the other games' events having too much effect on the story.
It helps if you think of it as a "different story," as opposed to a sequel.
We know Dr Li went to the Commonwealth, probably was escorted by BOS. What Montana BOS?
Li hates the BoS, that's why she left, she couldn't stand them running the purifier.
The Montana BoS is a BoS chapter that's supposed to be mentioned by Elder Lyons, however, since he lacks the package conditions in his scripts to play it, no one knows if its canon or not.
Not even a Prequel, a different story happening in a different place at the same time. Now that would be an interesting concept for eluding canon as Bethesda loves doing so much.
As it's been said and repeated time and again already, it's the EBoS/Lyon's BoS, because the name of the airship crashing goes in line with Lyon's BoS. So it's not a prequel or concurrent with F3. It's some years later.

"Brothers, as we take our meal this day, let us reflect upon the words of Elder Patrocolus of the Montana Bunker. 'It is in service of Steel and guardianship of one's Brothers that each man finds his purpose. My friends, stand with your Brothers. Guard them... guide them. And in each of them find purpose.' Look around this table, my Brothers. Look into the eyes of each man and woman seated here today. Pledge in your hearts and minds, pledge by your guns that you will stand with them in battle until the end. Trust each of them with your life. And earn the trust of each in turn. Eat well, my friends."
Thanks, didn't know that. I do remember Sarah Lyons, at the end of the game when you ask what will the BOS do next, saying Elder Lyons will probably have them scavenging the east coast...or something close to this.
Where do you think they got the airships? I would have put money around Boston.
We know the BoS was able to build airships even before the time of Fallout 2.
Lyons likely simply used all the stuff he stole from the Enclave's mobile base crawler to make one.
Don't know. They could have cobbled them/it together between the time of F3 and F4, or something else.
Perhaps he loaned it to them. He gave Lancelot the keys and sent him on some "important" mission to Montana BOS so that he could keep him away from Guinevere .
Makes you wonder what the crap is going on in DC. Guess the Outcast are history...if he is "King" Arthur. I also would be surprised if we don't see Dunwich in FO4.
If the Fallout 3 afterword is anything to go by

Thanks, I've seen this before, It would be nice to learn a little more than this. Wonder if we will find a reference or Easter egg to the LW?
