..Where are Chameleon Deathclaws?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 1:34 pm

I didn't start seeing them until my character was in the mid-80's, even then they were never cloaked....which is kind of a boon and I intend to enjoy it until they're fixed

Where?

I only ever find the boring, crappy Behemoths that I can kill with my 10mm in a couple of shots.

Also, why no Legendary Mirelurk Queens? Level 50 as a cap soon becomes laughable at higher levels.

I see them sometimes, but they're pretty rare. They seem to be the least common variant of the deathclaws. I've probably only encountered them 4-5 times in 600+ hours. I've seen more mythic and albino deathclaws by far. I see the patriarchs and matriarchs more frequently than the chameleon, but less frequently than the albino or mythic.

Like I said, they're rare. I've only seen the variants of the behemoths a handful of times in 600+ hours. The Epic Behemoth that I saw was down near the Quincy Ruins I believe.

I know the spawn. I'll check to see if I FINALLY get a different kind of Behemoth. Goodness knows, I've been looking for something that resembles a real monster in this game.

The only deaths I get are from being surprised by scaled Warlords or those detonating robots in the DLC.

Yeah, it was in a location with a respawning Behemoth. The one kind of between Jamaica Plains and the Quincy Ruins. I forget what level I was when I encountered it, but I was probably around 90-100.

There are several locations with respawning behemoths every 30 days or so. There's one up by Recon Bunker Theta, one by Super Duper Mart, and one near Murkwater Construction Site. There are others too, but these are the ones that I make a point of actually regularly visiting.

I'm guessing the one in the car fort near the Federal Ration Stockpile doesn't scale. :/

But yeah, I do the rounds fairly often. If anything, there are way more Mirelurk Queens in the game than SM Behemoths.

It might depend on ur characeter level not too sure. Anyway im level 83 and I saw 4 back to back east of outpost zimonja and a little to the south of the asylum. 3 were greyish in color almost white like the albino and the 4th was dark green with neon green underbelly. One of the greys almost seemed to have some kind of illuminated silhoutte going on but I think it was a

combo of the moonlight shinning off of it and the expectaction of it actually camo-ing itself.

It's THERE!!! RIGHT THERE!!! RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!!!

Only... it's a chameleon, so it blends into its surroundings and you can't see it...

Oh hey this thread is being bumped again.

I found Chameleon Deathclaw next to Jamaica Plan few days ago. I'll share the pic later.

This fella right here kept changing his color to green and red. Looks like NES Twinbee I mean, B-Wings boss.. lol

I remember Pop'n Twinbee. You know, Michiru Yamane was one of the composers for it? She's currently working on Bloodstained : Ritual of the Night. Man, I cannot wait to hear the soundtrack she creates.

Never played the NES Twinbee.

I played the top-view Twinbee.

Used to co-op both Twinbee and B-Wings with my brother. Both had catchy Boss entrance sound and used to scare the [censored] outta me. lolz

I played Parodius too (SNES) and I remember there was one boss that was like a Geisha. After it took a certain amount of damage, it'd turn into some evil, ghoul thing. That was pretty scary back in the day.

Also, the fourth boss of Life Force : Salamander. The huge skull face with the eyes that follow you.

Man, those crazy Japanese game developers...
