Bow and Arrow and/or Crossbow.

I really don't get this bow fad. Against a firearm you'll lose every time so it'd pretty much only be for hunting. Even then, with these mutated creatures whose to say an arrow or bolt would even pierce their skin?

Hardly. It comes down to tactics for both, otherwise (to cite an example) the Native Americans wouldn't have put the US army through seven different kinds of hell.

If I can kill someone shooting at me with a gun with my fists or a freaking baseball bat I'm sure I could take him out with a crossbow.

I understand exactly where you're coming from. Bows and crossbows are obsolete, or did you guys forget that guns were invented? Also, what skill would they fall under? Classifying it as a gun is too much of a stretch, and the other categories just don't fit.
Oh, and btw, Caesar's Legion is low-tech, but that doesn't mean they have to resort to crossbows. I'm pretty sure Obsidian made the majority of them use machetes to emphasize their tribal nature. We know from lore that they know how to use guns and have them at their disposal.

Not to mention shooting at things with a Bow or Crossbow is about hitting weak spots, the neck, joints, the heart.
it takes a more tactical play style for a bowman

Bows and crossbows are obsolete

yet they are still used today, for survival in the more remote places in the world, and By Modern Hunters.

the bow is a weapon over 5000 years old. and would fit well In a tribal setting.
but if you need some reasons (be them modern reasons) from a survivalist point of view check this http://willowhavenoutdoor.com/featured-wilderness-survival-blog-entries/the-take-down-survival-bow-arrow-6-reasons-you-should-consider-owning-one/

The only plus I see is that you'll be able to roleplay Jack Churchill. :D A cookie for the first to figure out who he is. :cookie:

It would be cool, but not practical.

A bow and arrow would be much more practical in a post apocalyptic environment than conventional firearms because it is easier to create and reuse arrows than bullets. And if we are wearing our "Fallout" hats while using a bow and arrow then we could come up with quite a variety of ammo types to enhance the damage output. If you look at some of the modern professional bows they actually remind me of something that could be concocted in fallout fashion. I just requested a bow and arrow mod the other day in the FONV Nexus forums so I say yes and I agree that the Honest Hearts DLC sounds perfect.

Agreed. Plus I would think Bows/ Crossbows could be a good stealth weapon.

They'd be amazing stealth weapons seeing as an arrow makes almost no noise at all, just a small whistle while it drifts through the air. Great for melee characters who can't get up close to the guy, and doesn't want to expose himself and alert, say, the whole town. I'm still really for these ideas.

And yet I have yet to see you people [censored] and whine about throwing spears, which are about a neolithic as it gets.
