[RELZ] PotG Cowpoke Pack (v1)

Post » Tue Dec 28, 2010 9:02 am

I have just uploaded and activated version 1 of the mod to the NVNexus site.

LINK: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38984

Currently the mod needs extra testing to make sure nothing breaks/is broken. I have discovered that models and textures (especially guns) are very...twitchy and can break for little apparent reason. I have tested the file myself and see no issues, but you never know!

So..if you use it...and you find an issue...LEMME KNOW.

Also please post regarding balance of the weapons, damage, accuracy, rate of fire and range. These weapons are SUPPOSED to be on the potent end of the spectrum, but should not be world destroyers by any means. If they are disrupting gameplay by being too weak or too strong, please post and make suggestions and I will tweak accordingly!
--------------------------

CONTENTS: (NOTE: I have included several of each item except the two unique revolvers in order to allow you to kit out a group if you have unlimited followers. This makes for good cutscenes and I feel gives the game a sense of being 'with my posse')

Black duster outfit with red t-shirt. (armored)
Black duster outfit with brass buttons (armored)
flat-top black hat (armored) ala Clint Eastwood
black Stetson hat (armored)
mildly armored custom textured 'Order of the Rose' combat robe (the Order of the Rose are a group from Path of the Gunslinger)
mildly armored custom textured hood to go with the robe.

Remington Model 1858 (Army) Revolver in .44 magnum
'The Rose'. A unique, gold brushed version of the above revolver. Retooled to be slightly more powerful. Has a tendency to knock things around. Chambered for .44magnum
'The Regulator'. A unique, black and gold detailed version of the above revolver. Retooled to be slightly more powerful. Has a tendency to knock things around. Chambered for .44magnum Slightly less potent than 'The Rose'.

Model 1866 Winchester lever action repeating rifle, chambered for .45-70
Model 1877 Winchester lever action repeating shotgun, chambered for 12 gauge.

----------------------
LOCATION: In a duffel bag in good ole Doc's House in Goodsprings!

Coming in future versions:

SCEPT-R envirosuit ('light' powered armor with minimal combat protection. mainly used for scouting hazardous areas)
The P.I.M.P. (Pipboy Integrated Medical Package) - A 1 touch healing chemical infusor. A tad wasteful, but functions as a low powered 'oh snap' button.

More items in the works as well!

Enjoy!

Link?

Here is the link. File is now at version 2 because some changes and fixes I made before the first upload didn't take for some reason. Should be all daisies and hand grenades now, though ;)
Also putting link in original post.

Something went very wrong in v2 of the mod. Now with the mod loaded...MY hat works normally, but sunglasses worn with it end up sideways.\
Additionally, every person wearing a hat or helmet in the game now has their helmet on the side of their head.

I did an 'update facegen model availability' on the file, but its still doing it.

If anyone has idears on whats wrong...please lemme know

Found the problem...the mod was dirty...reaaaallly dirty because of an edit I did. I cleaned the mod and changed some textures and model nodes and voila, everything SEEMS to be finally working.

Please download VERSION 3 of the mod.

Mod has now been set to version 5.

Mod has been broken into a DATA file and an ESP file. (both required).

The DATA file should remain stable for a version or two until some special doohickies are ready.

The ESP file will update as necessary.

This will be the format for all future releases in order to lessen the number of large files people have to download and redownload.

Meh, I haven't been able to track that resource down, to be honest.

If I find it I'll see what I can do ;)

At least the dive suit is now in and qualifies as heavy armor.

I will be releasing a new version of this mod in the next week or less, depending on my free time.

The new version will include some dusters with lawman badges as well as a pyramid shaped tinfoil hat for all you conspiracy theorists out there! :)

I am looking for someone with photoshop or another image processor to take some really good HD screenshots and add some post processing effects to them for professional quality...messages, sunglares, things like that.

I'm also looking for someone to do a short video with or without voiceover or some cool music to demonstrate all the gear.

Thanks in advance.
