Potion limit

Post » Tue Feb 05, 2013 5:29 am

There should be a limit to how many potions you can take at once, like in Oblivion. Because you can store hundreds of potions on yourself, and take them during battle, you basically can't lose. I limit myself to carrying three potions at any time. Since doing that, my warrior is a lot more fun to play. It makes being a Paladin more meaningful as well.

Thoughts?

I don't know, just cause some people enjoy playing Skyrim like Dark Souls doesn't mean base Skyrim has to play like Dark Souls.

I don't believe in a limit, this is a single player game, man. You can be a tough guy and bring zero potions or you can be a wuss and have 20 of everything

It isn't even so much about being a "tough guy" for me, but more about a gameplay mechanic. I just can't suspend my disbelief enough to accept the fact that I can essentially stop time during battle, and consume enough magical liquid to make my stomach burst.

I hoarded all my potions of Health and Magicka, being at level 47 now, I only carry 20 potions of Ultimate Healing and 20 potions of Cure Disease. 20 servings of Vegetable Soup doesn't hurt either.

You are truly fearless. I never leave without at the very least 30 Ultimate Healers.

Who said anything about Dark Souls, this was a feature in Oblivion. Personally, I would enjoy having this feature back, but I'm not going to complain about not having it, there's more important features of previous game I'd rather have back first.

On another character, I would have all my Ultimate Potions. They numbered well into the 60's for each of them, Health, Magicka, and Stamina. You never know man.

And it's completely up to you if you want to "stop time" during battle to chug potions. If you don't want to do it, don't do it. Simple as that.

I never carry potions I just spam sell them all while at a vendor so I never really thought about this issue same with Oblivion I never once used a potion so I wasn't aware there is a limit even after playing it since release to last month xD
