power armorcore info*MINOR GAME MECHANICS SPOLIER*

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:57 am

So it appears fusion cores last a decent while here's a few things I noticed
-a core with no upgrades seems to last 40minutes even in combat
-sprinting drains them faster
-it looks like you take no damage with armor on the armor takes the damage(not for sure on this one)
-you can use any weapon and bring up your pip boy in the armor
-you can power bash in armor
-with fully upgraded core perk you get~ 80 minutes or so
-this was based off t-60 and t-45 Idk if different armor work a little different

So power armor dosnt seem like it will be a real pain to use, from what I've seen it looks like you can still do power armor playthroughs

interesting. How rare are the power cells, in relation to say 10mm ammo? (how many 10mm rounds of ammo do you find per power core)

Probably will be like most other games.. In the beginning you'll be struggling to find them. By the end you'll have too many.

I highly doubt you take no damage with power armor on however I'll wager it can reduce the damage taken from lesser attacks to zero

I may have read somewhere that if you run out of core you can still move, but you cannot power bash and you move slower. So i read.

And i know for a fact you can fast travel, but i dont know what that does to the core if it does anything at all.

I think taking no damage would be a little too overpowered. It'll be more balanced if you take 50-80 percent less damage with the main drawback being you aren't able to heal since with the new stimpak animation you couldnt really stick a needle through your power armor

How does destruction of the armor work? Where do you find the armor? Do you request it or find it in certain places? Just wondering how it works. Do you find it with your customizations on every time?

Oh transfer stations very interesting. And time is totally adequate. Power armor may be fine after all. If anything the changes are very interesting. I'm excited.

That's kind of the point of power armor.
Personally, I hope that the PC becomes totally immune to low-level damage/small caliber firearms when in power armor.

I wonder if you'll be able to craft power cores.

Whether it's a pain to use or not depends on one thing.....availability of fusion cores. At any rate I don't plan to wear it a lot anyway. My character build is a stealth based character not a bash your face in with a rock type.

Well, I side with the idea that nuclear power whatever last in terms of years, not 40 mins game time. Guess I'll be nabbing the mod that removes this silly mechanic.

I find that doubtful.....stealth is about being light and fast and in the shadows while power armor is about being a tank.
