Power close to god-hood

Post » Fri Sep 28, 2012 7:56 am

Imagine, the last sequence of the game you have become so powerful your mana supply is nearly infinite, enemies that usually troubled you can be torn to shreds by a mere thought. Bullets that are fired at you suddenly drop before you can reach you and blades melt in the hands of your attackers. I just think that would be an awesome way to end the game, but not preferable for some I suppose. Do you think it would be amazing to be so powerful or would you like the game to end in a different way? Thanks for reading.

No, I feel that the game should end the same way as it is throughout, normal powers, not god-like. God-like ruins all the fun.

Probably the opposite. I care more for a protagonist in seeing them being vulnerable rather than being able to mow through the enemy (see the ending to Bastion).

I'm pretty sure that idea has been done before...

I can never understand why people don't want to have true power, of course if we had this the whole game then it would be annoying but for the last 20 minutes or so of the game? Just seems like a more epic way to finish.

Mr Anderson can do it, why can't we?

I'd rather have to game be more consistent, and i really don't see any reason for changing the "game-rules" or pacing for that last 20 minutes or so.
