"Pre-Load" Skyrim

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 7:25 pm

Hi,

Strangely, I can pre-load from Steam, but not from the hard copy I have just bought.

Does anyone know if this will cause me problems tomorrow?

Cheers.

Go to games click the option activate a product on Steam and then enter the cd key and the download should start

I'm gonna guess and say no, because whether you install it from the disc or download it from Steam, it's the same game.

I bought a boxed Empire: Total War a few years ago, and when I wanted to install it on my new HDD, I chose to download it from Steam because Steam should have a more updated version. Hasn't caused me any problems.

Don't bother with pre-loading. Wait until it officially releases to try installing it. Otherwise you'll be wasting time and bandwidth.

Pre-loading the game would take hours, while all you'd save in the end are a couple of minutes if you're going to be installing from disc. No need to pre-load.

Thanks for the replies.

As it can do it while I sleep, I've gone for the pre-load.

Think I'll get up early :celebration:
