Pre.order for 4.4.14, CE or not?

Post » Thu Dec 12, 2013 9:29 pm

Yeah, I saw a week ago that there was a thread about what we wanted in the CE Box..

But since we got a launchdate they should give us a price so I can start thinking about preorder.

Just aint fair to give me a date and not telling me what its gonna cost me..

I have already pre-ordered the ESO, but not the Collectors Edition. I will see what contents it contains before getting it.

I can imagine the game will safely cost the same amount as other games on each given platform. PC/Mac: £40. PS4/Xbox: £45-50.

And I don't know about you guys but I'm not willing to decide on what version of a game, be in standard or CE without knowing WTH I'm getting in said CE.

@professo, um, what makes you or anyone Think that? 5 months to launch is plenty of time to create a CE..

if they released a CE post launch it would be the biggest slap in the face ever by a company. it would be forcing people who really want the CE to buy 2 copies, i dont see that happening

i will be pre-ordering the CE the day they announce it no matter what it has. so yeah, i hope they make it good lol

I preorderd SWTOR, not the CE.. but there was times, a few of them when I was at envy..

I have not been as hyped about a game since SWTOR, game did give me all but open World PvP..

So, since I'm this hyped, I'm rly thinking of getting the CE, but I want to know the price..

Dont care as much about what box contains as for what you get ingame.. you know, that Little extra shiny that shows everyone that you bought the CE.. I want that in TESO =P

Collector's editions always strike me as utterly worthless. Even back when they had actual things in them, they still struck me as a terrible waste.

Preorders too... ugh. The current state of the industry blatantly shows that pre-orders are generally rip-off avenues for bad games. For the primary distribution methods these days, 'pre-ordering' isn't even a concept that makes sense.

it depends on how much you value the extra stuff and where you are financially. i have enjoyed all the CE's i have bought though i have not bought many. i only get them for the big games that i have closely followed for a long time.

as for pre-ordering i started that when i did not have much money and was living check to check. i would put money down when i had it so when the game launched i was positive i would be able to pick it up. now they give minor bonus content to people pre-order. most of that is worthless of course and eventually it seems it becomes DLC anyway

Yeh kind of, I will be willing to pay extra for a large map of Tamriel or a figure of some character, possibly Molag Bal? That would be sweet, what I will not pay extra for is in game crap like in the swtor CE

Every time I have got ingame junk with a CE I have ended up not using it or turning it off. I can say I really dislike EA's approach to CE goods and I hope Bethesda Softworks, (who is the publishing wing of Zenimax media) understands the kind of gamer they are targeting with this game and respects us with appropriate version goodies.

I'm a digital copy type of consumer, so if there's a decent digital CE I will probably pick it up. Would love to see a mount or title or something simple.

I have a no-CE policy due to budget constraints lately... and I really don't want physical stuff (having spent the last couple months de-cluttering the house where I've lived for 20 years ;) ). Trying to simplify my life.

However, there are certain types of DIGITAL content that might tempt me ;) Just hoping it DOESN'T have any of those!
