So very true.

June seems fitting, as i think it will be a decent size if its a new map, and have a decent amount of content no matter where it is set.

Judging from the Vanilla game, I think the first DLC will be out in April and it will add no new lands and nothing of real interest. Maybe a Power Armor makeover kit, or something equally horse-armory.

The secret lies within a spreadsheet at Bethesda that shows when sales of the out-of-the-box game drop off and flatten out after Christmas.

And the Lord said unto them:

"YE SHALL RECEIVE THY BOUNTY WHEN THE SALES FIGURES DOTH TREND DOWNWARDS IN THE NEXT QUARTER."

With all that empty ocean just sitting there I'm hoping we get underwater settlements to protect DLC underwater. Maybe some kind of Underwater city or something.

It'll come out after the 4 dollar Dog armour comes out. Which should be in 2018.

Spoiler
Probably by April

According to the release of DLC in Fallout 3 and Fallout: NV, it was 3 to 4 months after the Main game appears.

So I say, Nov 10 when it was released, between Feb 9th to March 12th.

I'm thinking March, early April. And there seems to be alot of empty space on the map in the southeast area, about where Rhode Island should be. Providence, H.P. Lovecraft, fishpeople,.... you see where I'm going with this.

Rumor has it that it will be coming late-Feb to March.

I'm hoping that it expands on the current content, but I'm probably in the minority.

I guess May because it is one month before E3 - good time to release a DLC to make peaople still play your game even if there is possibility of new one. And it's gonna be in actual map I suggest because Its running on skyrim engine, so it might be something like Dawnguard.

Time: had to be summer, because they currently busy with Doom, so that will be the focus; they don't even have time to fix some of the issues with settlements/NPC yet with the actual game... besides... we all know that this game is going to take up player (life)time to play... had to be summer ish time

Where: There is ALOT of unused place in the actual map this time around.... they could totally put a large portion of game play in sea of rad, or just the ocean space it self.... like I had posted elsewhere several time; "Paul Revere" arc would be awesome, and fitting:

*Find and set free a synth who thinks he is Paul Revere

*Help Paul to be accepted, and fulfill his dream to become a minuteman

*piss off the aliens who have a hidden base under the (map available space) ocean floor, cripple their HEV mutant/alien army facility.

*learn their evil scheme, and force them to go out on a total war with what's left of their (Chinese/alien mutants) army.

*prepare ALL your settlements for war, have them put up a shields to repel the invasion, then prepare to face aliens' army at the beach slaughter the alien mutants in the mission "Boston Massacre"

*ride with Paul in the new horse (2 heads, and glowing) back system with bullet time gun play and new velocity+DMG pole arm weapon! in the "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere"

*Watch and battle along side Liberty Prime as it fights against the rampaging/out of control bio weapon; "Leviathan"; the giant HEV alien/crab monster, Pacific rim style.

*Bonus mission "Boston Tea Party" will unlock array of settlement deco. one new location; the crash site of the alien mother ship, which will serve as the new settlement and the big party for player and friendly NPCs of commonwealth!

PS** not before player "secures the area", and discovers the massive alien corpse (fwee weaponz/ammo) and a legendary Larva-athan (Larva of Leviathan) obtain some OP DLC legendary weapon!~

PS*** fix up the alien ship coil thing on top, then produce 50 power, link power to coil to make the alien ammo compartment available, generates 50 alien ammo per day of any types(if there are going to be...

PS****Chinese/Alien hybrid because they ware tattered red coat, thus Paul can call them "Red Coats" hence, the "Red Coats are coming..." hehe... siren instead of bells rings acrosses commonwealth...

PS*****Shield repels Leviathan, but not Red Coats, but fighting red coats is easy, with player along side.

YEP... the Paul Revere story Arc...

Doom is being developed by id Software, not Bethesda Game Studios. They're both under Bethesda the publisher, but Bethesda Game Studios has worked exclusively on Fallout and Elder Scrolls - Dishonored, Doom, even Elder Scrolls Online take nothing away from this studio's dev time.

There's actually a lot they could do, but I'm guessing they'll put out an in-map expansion similar to Dawnguard or Broken Steel first. Independent of the main quest, but possibly with some different stuff based on where you are in it or how you completed it.

I'm not sure it'll come in the form of free patches or one wholesome DLC, but I'm almost positive they'll improve settlements in a lot of ways. The thing about Hearthfire is, that was a completely new feature for Skyrim; Bethesda typically expands on existing features within story DLC (lycanthropy improvements in Dawnguard) as opposed to just having DLC set to expand one thing. I'm hoping any story expansion will add new constructibles at workshops the same way it would add new weapons or armors.

First, they need to ship the Creation Kit. We could use a few more patches, too. I predict the CK in February and a DLC on the same map in April-May.

I'm actually in a indefinitely long pause from the game, even if I haven't completed the main quest yet. I hope future patches and DLCs will reinvigorate the game. The side quests are really poor, to say the least.

Yeah I'd hope for March/April.

Would anyone be averse to going back to previously visited places in past DLC's. Like The Pitt, or Point Lookout? I think it would be fun to see how those places have fared.

I'm not interested in seeing Fallout 3's DLC locations again, but revisiting a part of the Capital Wasteland could be cool. I also wouldn't mind seeing Nadine adventuring on the Dutchess Gambit.

I think mod support April 16 and first Story DLC July 16.

There are so many locations that 'feel' like they've been designed for quests but are empty or only random raiders in it i feel like it's going to be on the same map with maybe some underground facility.

I really really hope they intregrate the DLCs better than in the last games, I dont want any new map I can only travel to by paying some ferry or Immersion breaking stuff like that. Fingers crossed.

I'm hoping they approach it like they did with Broken Steel in FO3.

That was a fantastic DLC based on how much it improved the base game. There is so much potential in Boston, it would be a shame to go off somewhere else.

I am hoping for something offshore from Boston or underwater.

With the underwater perk and also the harbour / port location with all the ships, I think it is highly possible that something like a sunken Atlantis style vault is out in the sea. It'll probably be ex-Enclave from before the war. Those with the breathing underwater perk could venture outside and explore without needing a set of power armor or some other breathing apparatus.
