I prefer to play solo in a elder scrolls game so..

Post » Sun Nov 17, 2013 1:10 pm

..does anyone know if i will be able to play solo without encountering any other players? I really dont want to share a world filled with loot containers lol.

If i must i will but i really dont want to. Id rather detach from people, who will be grabbing every little piece of loot in every container everywhere all day im sure.

I own all the other games so i will most likely go back to those from time to time if i cant solo this way in TESO.

nope there is no single player version, it is an MMO. Loot is instanced to you and only you BTW. If you open a chest for example, someone else can go and open that same chest (for possibly different loot)

It's an MMO there will always be players in the world.

@PKMN that is only for loot that you get off NPCs not for containers.

instanced loot you say? well I do say...this sir, sounds more like it.

EDIT: @leperchan- so containers can be mercilessly looted before i get the chance then? shame. :/

I'm just scared for exploration. The reason why I am scared is because people will see people discovering something then people wont usually get the satisfaction of doing it themselves. I guess I'm just scared of the whole MMO thing for TES.

I guess I will just try to embrace it.

really? well still, loot containers should not be that important anyway, most of the good stuff in most MMO's are gotten off NPC's nowadays. It is not all that bad really.

This is a little off topic now but, is the beta being tested only on certain dates? or is the beta key i got able to be redeemed whenever the beta-account-creation section of the website is done undergoing maintenance?

i got it months ago apparently and only recently opened the email.

Pretty sure you can redeem it whenever the site is open, but unless you receive an email detailing date and times you aren't invited to specific tests.

well say you enjoy discovering secret stuff on your own. well imagine you are in a very secluded area of which has many nooks and crannies.

I'd imagine it'd be easy to determine if someone found something secret if they stop dead in their tracks looking down into a small crevasse.

I guess it dont matter all that much to some. It's redundant I guess.

I've tried for a day now and every time i click on the link that sends me to site where i register the code, it keeps saying this is undergoing maintenance. it's been some odd 16 hours. ill give it another couple days and then call bethesda support i guess.

You will not always be there when someone finds something nor will you always know if they actually find something plus there is no looking down animation as far as i know (the player character's face does not follow the camera). This is an mmo, people might be AFK (away from Keyboard) or they might be checking something in their inventory, stats, etc.

I'd just shoot them an e-mail. It's probably only up when they are using it for a closed beta test.

true. the whole mmo thing for elder scrolls has got me all skittish about what to expect when it comes to the smallest details.

@Heisenberg- good idea. will do right away.
